I have not considered the media as part of the establishment. In my view, they're more an enabling cabal of assholes on the periphery of the establishment, butthey don't make their living directly off of fedgov.
My definition of the establishment is it's the massive group of people, agencies, companies and other types of organizations that suck on the teat of fedgov. This includes government itself (the deep state), the MIC, contractors, businesses, NGOs, industries/organizations, lobbyists, think tanks, etc. etc.

I am not shocked that this happened. I am shocked that Kari didn't have a price. Everyone has a price. Don't get me wrong people are good and do the right thing- but she turned down a blank check.

I understand MAGA just fine. MAGA is steeped in the establishment and you're naive if you think you know how MAGA operates behind the scene.
To be clear, I'm using "MAGA" as the political machine piloted by Trump.
