The DC swamp isn't actually a swamp.
It's a damn cesspool. There have been so many bona fide scandals that have been covered up and swept away - hidden in janitor's closets, classified for "national security risks", and just ignored.
Hell, we've had two KNOWN Chinese spies working for/sleeping with members of Congress - including one who was on the House intelligence committee.
I don't care who goes down. If he/she is dirty, then expel and prosecute.
James Madison was oh so right when he opined that the system of government the Founders created requires a society of high morals and is wholly unsuited for anything less.
If the Founders could see what inhabits the halls of Congress, they'd have pitchforks, tar and feathers at the ready.
