The problem was with Bob Chapek who let this filth infiltrate Disney.

Iger came back on board to right the ship and maybe hasn’t been aggressive as he should but he’s not for the woke agenda either. He probably should take the gloves off and not be as delicate about it anymore.

Iger started them down this path. Chapek was only at the head for a short time and really just continued with the model that Iger had set.

Disney has become propagandists telling people whats good for them and what their beliefs should be. They've intentionally destroyed some high-value IP to do so as well. That started under Iger and it continues to this day.

If they start now, they may be able to reclaim the company in ten years or so.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (LucasFilm): $300 million budget, one of the biggest bombs of all time.

It did $384 million at the box office. How can a movie that will end up making around a hundred million dollars be one of the biggest bombs of all time?

Letting activism, DEI, equity, changing storylines to fit race / gender / political ideologies is the very definition of being “anti-art.” When the entertainment aspect becomes secondary, it sucks. When I was in high school people were playing GTA and not freaking Math Blaster.

We need to get back to our old fashioned fundamentals of indoctrinating children in sexual perversion.

Their stock price is around 93 bucks, more than a hundred dollars off its high (reached in 2021).

Imo, that's 90 dollars to high

I don’t need a CEO to tell me what happened. I need him to know what is going to happen and change it before it happens.

I hope every Disney character from here on out is a gay, trans, differently-abled person of color from a disadvantaged background.

It cost $300 million to make the movie. You do realize that it costs around 50% of the production value to market and distribute a film.

They'll need to recover another 100 million to cover their full cost of production, marketing and distribution.

Just for perspective, they were hoping that this would be a billion dollar movie.

1. Only 50% of grosses go to the studio / distributor.

2. That’s just production costs, not distribution, marketing, etc, which aren’t typically rolled into a film’s touted budget.

That’s a new one, but so appropriate.

They actually said 270 but with all of the reshoots they did, it's likely well over 300, and that's without marketing.

They are doing accounting frickery on that one.

There were UK rebates for filming there which took its net cost down a bit, though it is still expensive as hell.
