Maybe not political, but it’s awesome!

Seeing the Blue Angels in person for the first time on an 8th story Pensacola Condo balcony several years ago was an experience I won't ever forget. These are truly badass individuals.

Go see them practice next time you are in Pensacola. Usually Tuesday and Thursday.

I have some family that live on Grand Bayou. His wharf is almost directly north of the runway. It’s badass to watch from there catching fish and drinking.

Used to see them all the time growing up on the left coast. Haven't seen them even once since the late 80s. I definitely miss it, and appreciate them even more today.

The beach buzz when they come home from a show is bad arse.

They sometimes come from the west Daphin Island to Pensacola, elite stuff.

And absolutely go to a practice. Views from the tarmac are unbelievable.

The 5th and 6th of July they will be at Jones Beach, Long Island, NY. Have to get there at or before dawn to get in, but there is a lot of practice the week before without the insane crowds.

I bet! I haven’t been able to see their beach show in many years.

My cousing flew #7 and was the narrator for 2 years. He never got to fly in "the show" but it was still badass for him to say he was part of the blues.

I know a former Thunderbird pilot and I asked him how they do a lot of those timing moves so perfectly, are they constantly talking on the radio or what. He said no one says a word, they’re all counting in their heads and have to be exact. So if he’s counting to 5 before performing a maneuver the other guys are counting to 5 at the same time and they all have to be exact when they reach 5.

Their mental practices are insane before they fly.

This could be the most American thing I've read all week. Anyone who experiences what you describe is living.

I would love to be inside one of those jets during their maneuvers. I would not like the feces removal portion of the aftermath.

Really cool. I have tons of memories watching them fly over Lake Washington as a kid.
