With all the BS spewed by the Politicians and Neocons that want perpetual War, it is good to see experts like Erik Prince give an honest assessment.

If Russia was legit. This war would have been over 2+ years ago. Like Trump said, they are nothing more than a paper tiger.

Maybe they are but it would be better if they weren’t getting a masters degree in modern warfare right now. The saving grace is that we are learning the same lessons and monitoring their tech and tactics

That would of been a hell of accomplishment if Russia defeated NATO provided 300 billion in equipment, weapon systems, training, planning, and intelligence in 2 years.

There's a BIG asterisk * that goes along with this statement.
Ukraine has held their own when you get to more central regions, and they fought admirably in their losing efforts in eastern regions. But they did it at the cost of hundreds of thousands (and more) of lives, and with hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of first-world defensive and offensive armaments and ordnance provided mostly by the American taxpayer. And they've long been conscripting well-above-military-aged citizens to take the field against The Bear.
Meanwhile, Russia can continue to keep on sending wave after wave, even though they've lost hundreds of thousands (and more) of their own, and just keep conscripting and sending more for as long as it takes.
If it's a war of attrition, Russia wins it hands down. If the western world had never armed Ukraine and provided active logistical and Intel support, The Bear would have taken everything all the way to Kyiv 18 months ago.
But Erik is still correct. Russia has been exposed. Their greatest weapon (deterrent) is having the largest nuclear arsenal on earth, by far. And they're going to keep it that way. But Russia is not a military threat to the US. Give China another ten years and they absolutely will be.

Was listening to a YouTube yesterday about the continual degrading of the air defense systems in Russia by the Ukrainians currently. Eventually the Russian leaders will pull defenses into Moscow to save themselves. They will leave all others out to dry.
