If you want to start a discussion with me or anyone you do it by approaching me with respect. If you do that I will respect you and listen to you.

If you disrespect the flag and anthem by kneeling. You are disrespecting your country and me and every other Veteran who has served our nation. You do this I will tune you out.

Worse yet is a hand full of them throwing up a racists black power sign. How is this even acceptable? How would it be viewed if white guys started throwing up the Heil Hitler sign the nazi's did. No difference in the two.

I thought this was about overwhelming black criminality and how black social pathology is harming the larger culture. I thought blacks were essentially kneeling in contrition for how shamefully they have failed to uphold the social contract . Basically a public apology for drastically harming the quality of life for their neighbors and their community. But it's actually about how America is failing Them. That's interesting that they would take leave of reality and flip the script like that. Learn things every day.

Completely respect your take on this subject, now tell me why the US is the global/historical scapegoat for all things concerning slavery and racism?

Our country has unfortunately had the past mistreatment of our fellow Black Americans hijacked for political purposes by Democrats to secure power, in an attempt to implement their socialist/communist ideology and unless you agree with that shite y'all need to wake the frick up!

People opposed to the protests to the point of NFL Boycotts or supporting the firing of protesting players don't seem to understand that the players are not trying to disrespect the flag

They are disrespecting the country, the flag, and insulting many who have sacrificed or risked their lives for the country. I'm not one, but I respect the hell of those that have put the country before themselves. And, it pisses me off that these players are so fricking disrespectful.

quote:

The conversation will never happen as long as people in the media and the President continue to divide the country by making the conversation about the flag

The players chose to protest against the flag...the same flag that represents the guarantees of equality and freedom that they so desperately pretend they don't have. They chose to attack the flag. And, the response was very predictable.

Yeah. You’re adding clarity to an issue you don’t understand. Good job!

For certain players to use the grand stage of the NFL to promote their own political or philosophical leanings is wrong. It goes no further than that. You could have saved all the typing. It's paramount to promoting a Multi-Level Marketing product at someone's wedding reception.... or a stockbroker selling you advice at a funeral. Supremely selfish and ruins the football game environment. Fans didn't sign on for this crap when they bought their season tickets. Sorry - all out of guilt trips.

Tell the badasses of the AA community to start obeying the law and crank up the respect and see if that works. What ya' think? Take your double standards elsewhere and lose the shoulder chip.

What conversation? Oh you mean the one where only your side speaks and makes demands while the rest of us continue to pay for the lifestyles of a certain subset of black culture?

This is the attitude that makes it impossible to have any conversation; no one said the black community doesn't have problems. While it may not be a popular statement to make, the issues minorities face are not ENTIRELY self-inflicted. They are products of a broken system that stems from a very different time. This is my last post; I just wanted to introduce some thinking that might differ from the majority but it seems everyone's mind is made up. I have better things to do than to try to explain the issues minorities face in society. If you can't see them; you either don't want to, or you simply can't based off of experience or other environmental factors. I'll take the downvotes just to play devils advocate and introduce the other point of view.

Appreciate your thoughts and will only say this: If one believes the problem to be 'out there' then therein lies the problem

A broken criminal justice system? So all those black guys locked up are innocent? I'm just wondering why you don't seem to care about fatherless families, drugs and black on black murders.

If anyone in this country is being oppressed, it's the middle class white kid who gets pushed aside because of affirmative action or the middle class families who pay taxes to support people like those who are kneeling today, while still having to pay all expenses for their own families.

come to terms with an ugly past that we've yet to truly have a civil and honest discussion about.

And AA have just regressed while those groups have passed them up.

Response by the number

1- BS. My dad fought for this nation and civil rights. He wasn't allowed in the same schools. Kneeling during the National ANTHEM is DISRESPECT.

You want to fight "injustice" find another way.

2- They ARE trying to disrespect the flag. HOWEVER, it doesn't matter if that's not their intent, it is what it is.

3- The president isn't dividing this nation, the left and their constant calling everybody they disagree with racists is dividing our nation.

Mass incarceration is not the fault of the police. It's the fault of those BREAKING THE LAW! You will never win that argument. Stop breaking the law, incarceration stops.

It's not that DAMN HARD to understand.

Zach, that's wrong-- a baby can't help being born in the projects with a crack addicted mother and that goes for whites and blacks.

More Caucasians are killed during arrests - per capita - than African Americans. Oh oh. Now what...

LINK

That's what the MSM and the opportunistic Kaepernick con-artists of the world and the thugs in St. Louis don't want you to see.

You didn’t introduce thinking that differs at all. It’s the same tired, we are victims bullshite, that has been pushed by your community and the left for decades. Thanks for stopping by!
