Bill Maher: “DeSantis is a winner”

I’m going to call it now: both Bill Maher and Andrew Sullivan will vote for DeSantis in 2024… in the primaries. This is going to be the strategy. You’ll have people like those two, Sam Harris, the Weinstein, Bari Weiss, and Ayaan Hirsi Ali registering Republican to vote for DeSantis in the primaries.
Both Maher and Sullivan have come to the same conclusion that Trump or DeSantis will win in 2024 and the Democrats don’t stand a fricking chance. Maher and Sullivan say clearly that their main goal is to defeat Trump, and DeSantis is the only person capable of defeating him. With that New Rule both Maher and Sullivan should be voting Republican at this point, and I do think they will simply to beat Trump.

Their biggest priority is beating Trump. What better way to beat him than registering Republican and voting for DeSantis in the primaries? Last election, Maher openly endorsed Ted Cruz over Trump. This time I think he’ll go a step further and actually vote for DeSantis, especially since DeSantis is way closer to his values than Cruz is.

I’ll tell you what DeSantis would have done that Trump didn’t do: fire Anthony Fauci. If DeSantis were President, he would have fired Fauci by April 2020 tops, looked at results from Japan, India, and Africa, and do what they were doing, ending the pandemic far earlier than in our timeline.
Not firing Fauci and continuing to defend him is the dealbreaker for me when it comes to voting for Trump in the primaries. He should be charged with crimes against humanity and have a nationally televised trial that Fauci would have to be put in a bullet proof chamber like Eichmann, being the modern day reincarnation of the man.
