Because Wikileaks published shite from whistleblowers.
Despite the illusion our government and state media have created about how whistleblowers are respected and protected... our government legit fricking hates whistleblowers.
The 'whistleblowers' our state media always worship aren't actually whistleblowers, they are just assholes in our gov who are tasked to strategically leak information in order to smear political opponents.
Imo, legit whistleblowers have no outlet to effectively get information out. State media won't publish anything from legit whistleblowers. The only reliable publisher was Wikileaks. Gov can't control Wikileaks. So... here we are regarding Assange.
