The post is somewhat bulls***. Monthly transfers refer to all payments from the government to a skngle individual. This includes tax refunds, SS retirement benefits, stimulius checks, etc. At the end of 2024, the # was 1,446.83. This post is saying that the 2025# is $1,554, so there is no drop. Also, we are only halfway into 2025. It would help if there was a link.

Need that 10 fold. There is an entire group that have never worked and get the maximum "benefit" welfare.

Makes you wonder why it ramped up so much in late 2024? Nvm..looks like it was the cost of living increase.
That huge ramp up is in the first months of 2025, after Trump was sworn in. Whatever this chart is showing, the number on the right side is still higher than Biden's last day in office.
What caused the huge jump up after Trump was sworn in and why is it partially correcting? Nothing is explained.

Tell me again that congress hasn't been stealing it.

The chart is confusing. Are they sayimg the average monthly payout dropped to $1,554?
I’m pretty sure the y axis is in hundreds of millions. Add 8 zeros.
So 1,554 is 155,400,000,000 or 155.4 billion, which makes sense with the annual outlays of approximately 1.5 trillion.

That was Biden putting millions of illegals on SS before the inauguration. It takes time to process fraudulent paperwork. It also took time for Trump to get his people in place to fix your party's intentional destruction of America.

Grok:
The spike in Social Security benefits before the drop was due to the Social Security Fairness Act, signed in January 2025. It repealed rules cutting benefits for public servants like teachers and firefighters, leading to over 2.5 million retroactive payments averaging $6,710, totaling billions. The drop reflects a return to normal monthly payments after these one-time lump sums were paid out by June 2025, not a benefit cut. The act's $196 billion cost over 10 years has sparked debate about future funding, but it aimed to fix past inequities.

So none of this has anything to do with DOGE or cuts to benefits. Got it.
