I know many of us are hoping for a complete trainwreck, but I think Chris Wallace is going to loft softballs to this doddering old fool and he will be semi-competent for at least a short period of time.

If 2020 has taught us anything, it's to toss expectations out the window.

I expect this debate to be a lot more boring than we all anticipate.

What's the bar for doing well? Not falling asleep or shiteing himself?

This isn’t the Joe we know. Not even the same guy from 4 years ago.

Don’t be afraid to see what you see.

We need to quit painting him as some dementia riddled old fool and start painting him as a presidential candidate. Then when he performs only slightly better than a dementia ridden old fool it’s not seen as an accomplishment.

Yes, it is a very, very low bar, but some of us are expecting him to drool and fall asleep which won't happen.

2020 is a cluster and this is simply another in a weird chain of events .

I fully expect the media to proclaim Biden the winner of the debate tonight.

I’ll say it again, Biden is capable of being competent for 60 minutes. Plenty of rest, lots of meds, and one or two lines the MSM can replay over and over.

The bar has been lowered so much so that all he needs to do is not piss himself and he will exceed expectations.

Trump has to take matters into his own hands and set Biden off

My hope that is the leak from a few days ago that Trump planned to attack Biden hard on Hunter and other stuff is a ploy, making Biden's camp spend all their time rehearsing how they will respond.

Biden will do nothing but attack Trump and I think this opens a great opportunity to get Biden off center by focusing on what has been accomplished under Trump's Admin.

Let the debate play out and if Biden isn't self destructing 45 minutes in, then pivot with a few zingers to see if he takes the bait and goes off.

doesn't matter the treatment Biden gets from WALLACE... it's not Biden with just a member of the press this time. He has to go toe-to-toe with...

Well, he has to make it for 90 minutes though....
Will be the longest he’s been at an appearance in the like 12 years

IDK about that. But I do expect we'll not see the SenileJoe version. He'll be pharmacologically tuned.

Trump won't be able to ask Biden questions. I'm convinced Wallace agreed to step in between them any time Trump does
