Cult.

Absolutely correct. I told a lib in here just the other day that if his democrat masters told them to surrender their retirement accounts that they would trip all over each other to do it and that's the plain truth. Like you said, they're a fricking cult and it's disgusting

Shareholder vs Stakeholder theory...

I tried to get a UGA Terry biz school professor to mentor a PhD program for me out of law school (didn't want to practice--still don't. Lol) in this arena. This was 20 years ago, and it was a universal, "not interested in this topic."

I will have to ask my Terry prof friends how it'd be received now. It's a mix of libtards and normal people there now.

That must be code for some saying I am too lazy to do this and it isn't fair that others plan better for their future.

The time for liquidating 401k plans and eating the associated penalties isn’t far off.

Unless you hide it in your mattress, they can still find it and take it. Plus, they can always just print enough money to render it worthless. "Oh, you have $600,000 in cash? Well, we're printing $100,000 notes now with nothing backing them. Congratulations on your 6 bucks."

In one of life's great ironies, the largest shareholders of XOM (FD: I am a shareholder and my brother works for them) are leftist unions (specifically their pension funds) who loudly advocate against fossil fuels.

Ever heard of “rent control”? Check it out because that’s how they will stick to ya.

It's more of a common practice by big business than not these days. That is reality. It's why many here complain about companies taking political, social, and environmental stands on ANY life topic. That, and the tendency for companies to cater toward younger customers at the at the risk of alienating older customers, when required.

Exactly.

But I think the long term plan was to tap into our private funds and “redistribute it equally” all along.

This isn't a new plan.

Not sure of your age, but Google Bill Clinton taxing IRAs in the early 90s. He proposed a one-time 15% "tax" on all privately held IRAs in the country and to use the money to shore up Social Security (yeah, right). Fortunately, the Pubs took over the House in 1994 and that plan was dead.

This. When I find out they’re planning to rob me, it’s my responsibility to make sure they can only do it one time. They get tax + 10% and never another penny.

If this ever happens, you'll be eating a lot more than 10%.

You'll be selling into a market that will be demanding huge discounts. You better expect losing 50-75% of your value.

today's City Journal piece on stakeholder theory and Basement Joe

As if Biden even grasps the concept fully.

I finally "sold the rumor" last week and so far my timing was good. I'm sure some dumb news will come out re vaccines and cause a spike but I'm good.

Real estate has had its share of crashes just as the stock market. Plenty of investors in real estate have had to sell properties at a loss during economic downturns when cash flow no longer covered carrying costs.

We all sell and help fulfill Trump’s prediction of Joe’s election causing a crash.

A better solution may be help Trumps re-election. I’ve worked myself to a good stage in life. I hope I get to enjoy it.

I just hope they are forced to wheel him out of the basement long enough to expose how mentally not there he is.
I don't care if they have to put both candidates on stage in separate, sterile glass boxes with a podium and a microphone. However it needs to happen, it needs to happen.

The WORLD, especially undecided voters who know little about politics outside of the propaganda they see during election cycles, needs to see Biden for what he really is.

The left will fight these debates with every bit of frickery that they can fabricate. They know, with 100% certainty, that Trump will win in an electoral AND popular landslide if the real Biden is put in the spotlight against the Orange One...

States like Virginia will rethink their proposals to give their electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote.
