Because requiring an ID to vote and telling all black people they have to sit in the balcony or use different bathrooms or ride in the back of the bus feels very, VERY different.

That had nothing to do with race. Every color, religion and race is allowed to get an ID

No, it's really as simple as that.
It's a lot easier to get votes by making it legal to vote without an ID, than it is to go out into the public and educate people on the value of having an ID.
This is just what we do in society now. We cater to the people that don't uphold the basics of their civic duty.

Everyone talks about how voting is sacred. If every vote is sacred then you have to prove who the frick you actually are with a photo id at the very least
