Of course Trump would have done it differently! We have 4 years of just how Trump done things differently! Record low unemployment, robust economy, record stock market highs, no new wars, multiple peace deals in the ME, justice reform......

It's still a fricking hypothetical.

record stock market highs,

The stock market is at record highs right now. Are you crediting Biden for that now?

multiple peace deals in the ME

That mean nothing. As we've seen from the Doha Agreement, these agreements were nothing but paper. Peace agreements that aren't upheld and clearly don't create peace.

quote:

Record low unemployment, robust economy,

The economy is still robust right now. We're undergoing a crisis which we will recover from.

Are you saying the American public will remember this in a few weeks time?

It looks to me that Republicans are criticising Biden while Democrats are criticising Trump. Has it changed anybody's mind on things?

Ugh.

They fricking wanted us out. Trump was right. Working with the Taliban on the exit is a no brainer. Rather than accepting the reality on the ground, Biden continued to pretend there was some fake symbolic victory to be declared there.

Only because hes a dem and the media wont talk about it. Certainly not because it isnt newsworthy.

Because your media allies won’t go long or hard after this story.

This is complete failure. Where’s your president? Hiding? Why?

American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, The Infrastructure Bill (which needs to be passed by the house but I'm confident it will), reversing Trump's policies...

That's a lot in 8 months.

but making excuses for them is ridiculous.

I'm not making excuses for them. I'm simply saying pulling our troops out in the middle of the night without bothering to tell anyone is fricking cowardly and a big frick you to our allies.

And the Taliban saw it for what it was....us running with our tail between our legs in the middle of the night instead of a planned withdrawal in coordination with our allies.

Say the people arguing that Trump would have done it differently. Isn't that a hypothetical?

The insinuation in the opening post, of course, is that we should have chosen trump over Biden in the election.

So, let's see...

For political posturing alone, a vile, corrupt, dumb human denied the dangers of an imminent pandemic, refused to take precautions to safeguard the public, and half a million Americans died unnecessarily because of that.

versus

A decent and intelligent man who fulfilled the treaty to which that aforementioned vile, corrupt human had committed America, and relied upon the investment in Afghan military made by previous REPUBLICAN and Democratic presidents to hold the line for an orderly withdrawal.

Which of those two would I want in charge of my protection?

The choice is clear.

He won't need to.

The public won't remember either. The reality is most voters won't care - we can discuss the issue to infinity and argue over who is to blame. The media will stop covering it in a few weeks as well.

Afghanistan is a quagmire to the average person. Even if Biden had messed up, your average voter will shrug and say, 'how does that affect me?.'

And the Doha Agreement wasn't us running with our tail between our legs?

And not involving the Afghanis and our allies in the agreement we signed with the Taliban wasn't running with our tails between our legs?

They had us by the ropes then.

His only legal authority to "safeguard the public" is to close the borders...
He tried that, phuctards blocked him...do you count yourself amongst the phuctards?

In no way is the economy robust right now. It’s all artificial stimulation, debt moratoriums, etc.

You know that but are being disingenuous.
