Respond or don't.
Inflation is overrated. Deflation is the real problem because banks can't lower rates much.
Central banks can't go lower but they can go higher (and there's an argument to be made that the FED is addicted to low rates).

Inflation as a problem, in my opinion, is far easier to respond to then most people would think.
You do realize what happens when the Fed raises rates right?
All that economic growth you're talking about literally vanishes.

Higher rates equals high unemployment.
They have kicked the can and they're going to get bitten in the arse.
The economy never needed this level of benefits and extra money.
shite was more or less back to normal, under new conditions, 4-5 months after the first lockdowns in 2020.
Going to be a rough decade reaping the shite storm that is our current situation.

Which is why I said the FED has been addicted to low rates for such a long time. The bullet needs to be bit.
They will need to raise rates eventually. It can be done over a period of time and while some growth will be sacrificed, I don't think all the economic growth will vanish.

Good luck getting that out of Powell.
Volcker ain't walking through that door or getting appointed by this administration.

I blame Trump for negotiating a withdrawal with the Taliban and I blame Biden for honoring the withdrawal.
This is a lie. Biden changed the agreed upon date of the agreement, therefore breaking the agreement. After doing so, the Taliban were not obligated and decided that if you are going to change the agreement we are going to initiate other measures. We are seeing those measures now. Trump had negotiated a face saving agreement for the US but the Biden crew were not going to abide by it because it was Trumps agreement. They were not willing to give the Orange man a diplomatic victory.
Do you even know what was in Trumps agreement?

Well, I'm of the belief that it needed to be done regardless of this crisis.
There's no ammunition left otherwise.
The highly leveraged model I'm trading right now relies on low rates but even I think that rates need to rise. I'll have to swap treasuries for consumer staples but I admire Volcker for the stance he took back then.

Trump also sent a harsh message to the Taliban that he would blow their arse up....And he meant it. Biden asked them please to leave our Embassy alone....and Nancy told the Taliban that we were watching them....lol....I'm sure that shook the Taliban greatly. Dems have fricked this country in so many ways.

Seriously, even as a Biden critic myself, how do you know this guy isn't just tweeting whatever he wants with "per WH official" at the end of it?

Your are going to see a market collapse that rivals ant previous dark periods of time. The markets are propped up due to massive printing of money to distribute. The chickens must come home to roost and when they do. ..boy

Are you saying the American public will remember this in a few weeks time?
It looks to me that Republicans are criticising Biden while Democrats are criticising Trump. Has it changed anybody's mind on things?
Do you remember the administrations that made those possible? There is a pattern.
