We already know, conclusively, that harsher punishments do not deter crime
We also know that letting criminals out. of jail, or not even arresting them at all, does not deter crime either.
Death does ensure that no more crimes will come from that individual.

Are you suggesting that people who aren’t sentenced to super max facilities are all set free?
Seems to be what you are saying. I made no such comment. Shocked you don’t understand

Prisons for profit is what America does best. Lawyers making laws for tremendous job security.

I'm just wondering why we should care about supposed treatment of the most vile and inhumane humans when they did not care about the inhumane suffering they unleashed on their victims.
People have access to plenty of information these days. If they can’t realize by 18 that violence will lead to long term incarceration then they aren’t fit to be in society.
Why do lefties care so much about “societal good” for everything BUT crime? Weird that they will consider the individual ONLY if they are a violent criminal.
Personally I am open to considering alternative punishment that doesn’t include incarceration for nonviolent crimes but if you rob, rape, abuse or kill: you can frick right off to the bowels of prison for a long arse time. I have no use for you.

She doesn’t actually care about the people in prison or their victims. It’s the posturing on social media to give the appearance she is smarter than everyone else with limited to no research or understanding of what she read. The white woman fatigue is real and tiresome

I'm just wondering how many brownie points they've earned so far from the so called marginalized death row communities that were saved by Biden, surely this will help their thesis and research.
Oh I'm on death row, I'm so sorry for what I've done, I am now reformed, I am saved

She comes in with the bullshite incarceration does nothing.
Gets her whore arse slapped around a few pages
Asks idiotic questions while ducking pertinent data
Screams about your feelings
Hints that you can't deal with a strong woman
drops an old white guy post
Rinse repeat every fricking thread by this moonbat.

Yeah, this is definitely some privileged white women shite. Probably rooted in the “he’s an untamed rouge but I can fix him” fantasy they all have.

Certainty of punishment matters. Severity beyond a baseline does not.
These men were already removed permanently from society. From a public safety standpoint, the goal has already been achieved.
This is just resource-intensive cruelty so a subset of people can delight in schadenfreude. That’s it. The government is spending more money to make already condemned people suffer more because it feels good to some voters.
Dude you don't have convince me. I agree save taxpayers money and jail space. I already support the death penalty for murder.
