President Joe Biden unveiled a set of reform proposals to overhaul the Supreme Court including term limits for justices and a more binding ethics code.
Biden is also calling for a constitutional amendment declaring that presidents do not have immunity from criminal prosecution for any crimes committed while in office, following the Supreme Court’s July ruling granting Donald Trump immunity for “official acts” he committed as president.
With just under six months of his presidency left, Biden said that overhauling the Supreme Court will be a priority.

I don't think he really wants to go there.

By Biden, we can only assume they mean "The Party"

interesting. He's unfit to run but he's fit to completely overhaul the American justice system at the highest levels?

This would have to pass the House and Senate, correct?

Can someone with dementia pass anything ?
Is this like signing a contract ?
You have to be of "sound" mind and body ?

That is right. When they can't win, the game the system.

That would destroy the office. Those little speech writers really are a stupid bunch.

Pretty much solidifies they are going after trump with everything they have these last 6 months and that a loss in the election is likely

I’ll bet my house he goes 0-2.

Yep, his handlers are still wanting to fundamentally change this country... He can pound sand though, no way he gets any of that through Congress...
Won't surprise me if they don't try to EO some of it, lol...

2/3 of both legislative bodies, and 2/3 of the states. Never happen, plus it's a violation of the Constitution

We know Joe. Create as much damage as possible. It's obvious what is up.

When I saw this headline last night I immediately chuckled.
He (and by "he" I mean his handlers) knows this is going nowhere. It's an attack on the now conservative court, red meat for the party's leftist base in the last 100 days before the election, and something that he can be "doing" in the lamest of lame duck terms that has ever lame ducked in Presidential history.
You go, Joe!

With Republicans in control of the House and Dems narrow majority in the Senate, the Biden administration must feel good about their chances of getting this passed since their are bringing the proposal.
Hopefully the Republicans stick together.

Yes and pass by 2/3rds in both if it involves constitution change if memory serves me correct…which would never happen

I'd like to see the number of justices reduced to 5. Do it through attrition.
When Ginsburg croaked her 200 aides got to view the body first. Reducing the number to 5 would reduce bodies on fed payroll by about 800.
