No you didn't. That's exactly my point. That's the OP. You immediately diverted from the OP to Trump is responsible - as you always do.

I didn't respond to the OP. I responded to another poster that was questioning whether (or how) Trump's spending could have started inflation given CPI wasn't bad when he left office.

And here you go again. You can't help yourself. Trump didn't start the build up of the national debt nor was he the worst. Again if inflation was skyrocketing before Biden took office and you agree, then post the inflation numbers at the end of Trump's term.

None of what you posted here is relevant to anything I've posted in this thread. Did I argue Trump started the buildup of national debt? No, I didn't. Did I argue inflation was skyrocketing before Biden took office? No, I didn't.

Why are you getting twisted up about things I haven't even posted?

You sure sound like a little bitch to me.

I hope it doesn't cause you to shoot up a post office tomorrow to learn that I don't care what a moron on an internet message board thinks I sound like.

"the result of wild fedgov deficit spending that started under Trump"

Again Trump didn't start this. You keep insisting he did. Go look at the link I posted earlier. He was not in the top 5 in percentage of increased debt relative to his predecessor. I keep posting your quotes and you keep arguing you didn't make the argument I'm quoting.

"given CPI wasn't bad when he left office."

yet again that's what Biden was claiming and very soon afterwards here comes your TDS partner Ronricks and you to accuse Trump as the point where inflation began.

"a moron on an internet message board"

you're well known. I realize this is probably where you feel the most intelligent.

Inflation is a lagging indicator. The idea that Trump spending Trillions didn’t help bring on inflation but Biden’s did is insane.

1. The libs locked us down. This caused supply shortages.
2. We were also in an economic slowdown due to lockdowns (libs).
3. We desperately needed stimulus and Trump provided it. Everyone was in agreement on this.
4. When Biden took over economists were split over how much stimulus was still needed, if any at all. Biden far exceeded the amount of stimulus that economists (other than a few jackasses, like Paul Krugman) thought prudent. And that, in conjunction with the supply chain issues, is why we have pernicious inflation.

Both the supply chain and the money supply issues were primarily caused, or exacerbated, by libs.

If I drive a car halfway from my hometown of New Orleans to Los Angeles, get out of the car, then you drive it the rest of the way, across the beach and into the ocean, then it’s your fault the car is ruined. You can’t blame me for driving to Albuquerque.
Biden knew what he was doing would cause inflation - NRO

Trump was barely around for the Covid spending. It may be a lagging indicator but how much lag? Biden went from saying there was no inflation to now stopping Trumps inflation.

Trump & Biden are both responsible for the current inflation

I agree, but only one has had an opportunity to enact policy to combat it, Trump left office with a great economy that was completely disrupted by a global pandemic.

I’m not even sure we have seen the worst of it from Biden’s spending yet.

See above. His admin has spent more time pretending it wasn’t real than trying to slow it. Pain is the only way to stop inflation. I’m not sure Trump has got what it takes to put the country through pain either, but we now know that Biden doesn’t.

Try this exercise….

Had there been no Covid, would Trump! have spent the money you claim is his contribution to later inflation?

So ignore the facts?

Gas is up over 50%, I got gas yesterday.

So tell me how inflation is 3%? Oh because it’s not.

All this admin does is lie to you.

I'm sure MSNBC cut him off when he told those 2 whoppers during that speech. After all, they don't condone misinformation and lies.

He didn’t spend it…Congress did.

However, he didn’t veto it either.

In fact, he said that the paltry sum being allocated for regular people, while large scale industries (already being enriched by CDC guidelines) was unacceptable and asked for that amount to be larger.

All of that being said, the shitbags like David and Ron that act as though no spending was tied to Covid should not be taken seriously.

Points are dead on the money but the TDS crew will pick a couple exceptions to each & then make the generalization/sweeping accusation that everything was Trump’s fault

Trump was spending well before Coivd. Trump was president all through 2020. Trump wanted to spend more stimulus money than congress allowed him to. BOTH Trump and Biden are responsible for the inflation. Not sure why this is so hard for the Trumpers to understand. Trump spending Trillons in 2020 isn't going to show up immediately because thats not how it works it takes time. So posting charts and graphs of 'prices' from January 2021 doesn't tell us shite. Inflation is a lagging indicator. Trump started it and Biden continued it. Saying that is not just blaming Trump its also blaming Biden.

I've got one more piece of news for you - say by some miracle Trump wins in November nothing is going to change with regards to prices/costs or even inflation. Trump is going to spend Trillions just like Biden did and is. They are both big spending Liberals.

Yes he did. In fact he wanted more money in 2019. He also wanted QE reinstated, to bump his election numbers when we were already at full employment. You cant ask for more money than Congress wants to spend then blame congress.

Thats a recipe for inflation. 2020 caused most of our raging inflation though.
