At least you are willing to admit this fact. Also, Trump was spending in an out of control manner before Covid even existed so the below statement by you is laughable.

All of that being said, the shitbags like David and Ron that act as though no spending was tied to Covid should not be taken seriously.

Remind us the vote count in Congress for the Covid spending bill.

Simple question: Did Trump's spending contribute any to the high inflationary environment we have been in? I realize I am asking this from someone who legitimately thinks Trump won California in 2020 but I will ask it anyway.

Trump was spending in an out of control manner before Covid even existed

quote:

The House on Tuesday approved a $1.4 trillion spending package that would stave off a looming shutdown and fund the federal government through September, acting in a burst of bipartisanship just a day before Democrats plan to impeach President Trump.

The legislation would also remove three controversial taxes from the Affordable Care Act, the 2010 law that was a top legislative achievement of President Barack Obama.

The package passed in two pieces, one focused on GOP national security priorities including the Pentagon, the other on domestic agencies dear to Democrats such as the Department of Health and Human Services. The vote on the national security package was 280 to 138. The vote on the domestic agencies was 297 to 120.

The year-end legislative frenzy, which came ahead of the divisive impeachment vote in the House, showed how far both parties have moved since last year, when a spending fight led to a 35-day government shutdown. This time, both parties reverted to a hallowed congressional tradition of embracing an enormous year-end spending bill. Each side made concessions to secure long-sought funding.

quote:

The legislation would add almost $50 billion in new spending, even though the White House and Republicans called for major budget reductions earlier in the year. The package would also strip back parts of the ACA, legislation that many Democrats say serves as a defining moment of the Obama administration. The ACA taxes that were cut, however, were controversial, and even many Democrats opposed them.

All told, the legislation could add more than $500 billion to deficits over the next decade. The deficit — or annual gap between government spending and tax revenue — is expected to eclipse $1 trillion this year and grow in subsequent years unless changes are made.

The spending binge generated predictable finger-pointing, with Republicans defending their demands for increased Pentagon budgets while accusing Democrats of profligacy in funding domestic agencies.

Under Trump, we had zero leadership. None.

Trump wanted to spend/give even more than Congress allocated/allowed. That's a fact. Its documented. I know the thin skinned low iq Trumpers like yourself can't admit that for various reasons and narratives but it is true. At least some of your comrades are willing to admit it. Nobody on here is blaming only Trump for inflation. We are blaming BOTH Biden and Trump. Trump kicked it off and Biden only proceeded to pour gasoline on the fire that was already started which makes voting for either of these two imbeciles again so laughable. Neither one of them are going to be able to 'fix' our current inflationary environment. They don't have the policies to do such. They don't believe in the policies to do such. Neither one of them.

Can you even read? Nowhere have I ever said this. I've blamed both Trump and Biden. You are so thin skinned just like Trump is. It's pitiful.

Wait, you think a regular government funding bill is excess spending leading to incredible inflation?

quote:

All told, the legislation could add more than $500 billion to deficits over the next decade.

So Trump Bill added an additional $50 billion per year in an annual spending budget around $2 trillion per year?

And you think that was Trump’s part and causing inflation?

Fundamental misunderstanding by you, Roger.

Because you dipshits voted for him again, and you will see similar spending to make him popular.

Hes not gonna change. He will do anything to stay in the headlines.

One. He had three spending bills that year.

This was in a year with full employment. Never should happen.

I mean...is that something the Trump campaign still wants to take credit for, given all the negative publicity around it?

But we can be big boys and girls and acknowledge that inflation was kicked off under Trump and over Covid, which was as much a scam as anything else. Then Biden came along and poured fuel on the inflation fire.

But it wasn’t.

It absolutely was.

Our inflation came from pouring trillions into an economy that was shut down.

98% or so of elected officials in Washington were for that spending. Monday morning QB or all 98% are arse holes? DeSantis also praised the spending. Is he an a-hole too?
