I wonder if Democrats and the media will manage to convince Americans that Putin and Big Oil are responsible for our energy dependence and inflation.

I sure hope not, I gotta have faith that the masses are waking up to this shite. Of course there will always be the Stephen Colbert crowd that claps like Seals when he said I'd pay $15 for a Gal. of Gas.

He’s right but he’s not being honest. They’ve tried to hold back production, but have run into legal troubles along the way that haven’t allowed them to. Like the Louisiana judge striking down Biden’s pause on new oil and gas leases on federal land last year.

Biden is a Democrat. They lie more often than tell the truth.

It's good we're banning Russian oil, but what about now getting our oil from Iran...and Maduro's Fanny-Sway-La? How is this better than Russian supply?

The selective morality is something I don’t understand either.

We’re buying oil from the Saudis.

Just him being there is bad for domestic oil. His perceived unfriendliness to domestic o&g curbs development and spending. He could just be there and say/do nothing, and it'd still be bad.

They never tell the truth. Can you give me even one example of them telling the truth?

If a politician's mouth is moving and words are coming out, it's a lie.

It’s not about morality. It’s about needing an easily vilified scapegoat for what’s about to happen to the monthly budget for American families - we will long for the days of 8% inflation.

Ukraine is as political as Covid was, but this time it’s about maintaining Dem power rather than gaining it.

This is correct. Threat of regulation is a market force, he threatened regulation before he was elected and his administration has pushed electric cars as the answer to the gas price spikes. They have not signaled anything to help domestic production, the OP supports this as well because he is simply saying he isn’t holding production back, not what he has done to advance or incentivize production.

There will be two groups who say they believe it. The first group don't really believe it, but are partisan demprogs who want to sell it to others. The second group are those who are dumb enough to believe it.

100%. He ran on that platform...dismantling fossil fuels. He is doing what he said he would. Now that gas is crazy high is blaming someone else...something dems are consistent in doing.

They aren't lying.

They believe this stuff.

Which is proof they are delusional and dangerous.

On the other hand, the DOJ has decided not to appeal a lower court decision voiding Lease Sale 257 (one of the largest lease sales ever). Judge Rudolph Contreras (Obama appointee and head of FISA Court) vacated the sale, saying that Trump-era calculations behind it “arbitrarily” excluded the impacts the sale would have on foreign energy consumption when calculating its greenhouse gas emissions.
