The real question is why does the US have this power?

Because its our war.

Biden and Jake Sullivan are pussies. Putin has backed down from more red lines than Obama ever did. If anyone thinks Putin is actually going to use nuclear weapons, I have some ocean front property in Arkansas that I would love to sell you.

Not sure Biden has any reason to follow Obama's orders anymore. He is history.

He hasn’t taken orders from Obama since he was VP. Maybe kissed his arse some while he was positioning for 2020, but once he was President he picked people who were not Obama’s choices.

I'll let you in on a secret. There's a reason all the former Warsaw Pact countries are now enthusiastic NATO countries along with the Baltic and now Sweden and Finland. None trusts Russia .

This may or may not be true. In my opinion, it probably is true. But the thing is, politics isn't always a rational game. Those countries should never have been allowed to join NATO in the first place.

And therein lies the rub. If you go back to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and the words and agreements that were made back then (all of which are public now), maybe you'll see where this war really started, why it's happening, and how it's our own fault (the U.S.).

I don't know how long it will take, but eventually this war will end, and there's a good chance that once things settle down and the Ukrainian people can collect their thoughts, they'll be burning US flags in their streets. They will eventually realize that we led them down the primrose path.

As the missiles in question rely on satellite coordination, it is very likely Russian response would then involve taking out multiple global positioning satellites as an initial measure.

However, in addition to disabling military GPS, the spillover into western daily life would be palpable. It would serve as an alarming eye opener for the western public. Things could escalate rapidly from there, or simply stop with humiliated western leaders trying to explain with apologies to their collective public why GPS mapping systems were down.

The casual western indifference to Russian capabilities is mind boggling.

Nobody in this country remembers what it's like to have an enemy at the gates.

A lot of people, especially on the left, seem to think that Russia is incapable militarily just because they've struggled in occupying Ukraine. It's like they forget that we got our arse kicked by guys in pajamas in 3 straight wars.

Frankly, I'm still in disbelief that we've allowed a border war halfway around the world to become one of the most consequential domestic political issues we've ever faced, and one side is entirely willing to start a nuclear war just because they think they have a point to prove.

So Putin was responsible for Ukraine's violation of not one, but both Minsk agreements? And it was Putin whom indiscriminately fired into the Donetsk region? And it was Putin whom tried to outlaw the use of the Russian language in the Russian ethnic oblasts?

And, whom was responsible for the 2014 Odessa Trade union fire.

On NATO and the warhawks in DC-since the collapse of the Soviet Union, the west had promised not to push NATO expansion to the east. Guess what they didn't do? And that NATO-Russia Partnership for Peace really worked out well, right?

We're not on the right side of history here, and it's incredibly insane to see people like you disregarding the threat we would have faced if western made missiles were targeted deep in Russia, using targeting assistance and intel from NATO.

They've "struggled" because they settled for a war on attrition and have spared massive strikes on infrastructure, urban areas, and above all, have apparently not targeted the Ukraine senior leadership in a decapitation strike

Per some of the guests that appear on Judge Nap (primarily Ritter), a back channel warning went to the DoD of what the Russians what specifically do if the strike was carried out.

Art of the deal Kiwi. Always go for more than you expect and back into what you wanted all along.....worked like a charm.

Once the US funding stops we will see the will of the Ukranian people.

Well better late than never. He waited until just a few months before the end of his term and until he was basically on paid time off for the duration, to finally get something right.

Keir Starmer can go authorize whatever the hell he wants for GB and deal with the ramifications on his own, but don't drag us into that shite.
