You know what no Democrat or Republican has ever proposed in the over one hundred years of its existence? Repealing the 1031 Tax Exchange.
Well, not until Joe Biden, anyway.
Thing about it is, black Americans have more of their wealth in real estate than white Americans. By a significant percentage, though I can't remember off the top of my head exactly what it is.
So Joe is o.k. with manipulating the market to make it easier for black Americans to own a home to live in, but he's not willing to leave a tax law in place that's been in place for over 100 years to make it easier for black Americans to use real estate as income-generating assets to actually build wealth.
That's the Democrat game. Make it look like you're helping when you're not, and pissing on black folks' backs and telling them it's raining.

Trump even had similar proposals at the end of his admin.
Trump's plan was huge tax breaks if you invested in inner city projects with minority partners providing the sweat equity.

homes zoned for horrible school districts and high violent crime and no amenities (because of said crime) are not going to appraise for as much as home with great school, low crime, and tons of amenities like restaurants and retail. This is simple stuff.

Democrats don't care about laws when political power is at stake.

Time for me to claim my African ancestry with zero evidence to back it up.

The administration also is seeking to address disparities that result in black-owned homes being appraised at tens of thousands of dollars less than comparable homes owned by whites.
If they arbitrarily increase the value of homes in poor minority owned areas then it will simply cause homes in wealthier areas to increase as well.

I always laugh when they pass a bill and it's says something like, this act prevents discrimination against Asians, blacks,Hispanics,Gays,Women,Muslims, jews,Pacific Islanders and other native groups.
Wouldn't it be easier to just say this act allows discrimination against Straight White Men and nobody else.
I also disavow your revolution comment.

Wouldn't a higher value add taxes and make them less affordable for people in that area?

His spending is completely out of control. Even for the Dems I’d be frickin worried about it,

Didn’t Clinton try this “everybody gets a home loan” project previously? Ended in quite a disaster as I recall.

I've seen this movie.
Like I've LITERALLY seen this movie.
It doesn't end well.

The administration also is seeking to address disparities that result in black-owned homes being appraised at tens of thousands of dollars less than comparable homes owned by whites.
And violence in black neighborhoods just might have something to with it also.
