Hamas Hezbollah Syria and Iran are all allies.
It’s possible that Hamas did all of the planning for the attack internally, it would reduce the chance of leaks, but I can’t imagine a scenario where they went to war without getting Irans go ahead. It’s also probable that the 300 men involved in the attack received training from Hezbollah or the Iranians. These men probably fought in Syria as well though.
Hamas is the odd one out here because it’s a Sunni organization, and because they supported the Sunni rebels in the Syrian civil war.
