forcing these generators to switch off when they reach a certain level of emissions.
A carbon monoxide shutoff is standard on every generator I've looked at buying in the last several years. This is typical right wing hysteria.

Plus it's how people power their camps in the bayou.
No one is going to stop using their generators. I know I won't.
And my camper at the deer lease. Where I use my gun to shoot deer that I eat. LoL...
Biden, his admin, nor his supporters know anything about that.

How stupid are you?

Smaller gas generators would have to cut carbon monoxide emissions by 50 percent, and larger generators would have to cut emissions by up to 95 percent. Nearly all models currently available are expected to not be in compliance with the new standard.

Going after Propane Crawfish Burners too…
A new Biden administration rule on cooking appliances would effectively ban half of the propane crawfish burners on the U.S. market from being sold, according to an Energy Department projection.
In an analysis published earlier this month, President Joe Biden's Energy Department acknowledged that roughly half of all crawfish burners on the U.S. market today would not meet its proposed cooking appliance efficiency regulations, T&A News reported Friday. As a result, those crawfish burners would not be eligible for purchase. Still, Energy Department spokesman Dorkmon Blitz dismissed concerns over the proposal, saying half the crawfish burner market "would remain if this standard is finalized as proposed."
The Association of Crawfish Burner Manufacturers is arguing that the proposed rule would prohibit a much larger proportion of crawfish burners from being sold. Association vice president Remy Bourque pointed to a December Energy Department test of 21 propane crawfish burner models—all but one of those models failed to meet the proposed rule's efficiency standards, prompting charges that the rule would actually nullify 96 percent of the propane crawfish burner market.
"It's like they in such a f***ing rush to ban these things, and they trying to cover they f***ing tracks," Bourque told T&A. "But they not doing a good job of it. We never seen this level of sh**ty analysis from DOE before." The Energy Department called Bourque’s allegations “misleading.”

Um I think that might be a safety control, not an emissions control.

Would a 95% emission reduction even be possible unless it was never running?
Just wait until next week when they claim this was yet another MAGA conspiracy.

I always assume shite like this is just a thinly veiled shake down of affected industries. They propose this bill and then watch as the companies that make these generators or need them to thrive make larger political donations.
When you start thinking of establishment political leaders like mafiosos then what they do makes a lot more sense.

Considering that the UL standard and the PGMA (Portable Generator Manufacturing Association) standards are already more strict than the proposed government rule, you would be mistaken. If any of you flunkies would actually read the Proposed Rule rather than just the right wing propaganda, you might understand the world better.

Actually it strengthens my premise. Why make the rule if the standards are already met? Government flexing on business for donations, my sweet summer child.

In reality, this has nothing to do with carbon monoxide, it has to do with the Cult of Anthropogenic Global Warming and its war on fossil fuels off all kinds.
They worship a leftist hoax and want to use it to take more power and undermine our economy and individual rights.
