This tweet takes two separate parts of the Ynet article and pastes them together: The $66 million government investment in the Mosaic United Jewish-identity/volunteering project. Mosaic United is an official Israeli government initiative (Ministry of Diaspora Affairs) whose purpose is to strengthen Jewish identity and connection to Israel among young Jews in the Diaspora. One of its activities is encouraging Jewish youth volunteering (“Tikkun Olam”) in humanitarian projects around the world including aid work with disadvantaged populations in Greece, Nepal, Ethiopia, etc.
Israeli organizations (mainly IsraAID) were running aid centers and a “School of Peace” for Syrian, Iraqi, Afghan and other refugees already in Greece (especially on Lesbos). The Mosaic United funding supported broader Jewish volunteering that sometimes overlapped with that kind of aid work. It was not a program to transport or “ship” refugees into Europe.
The $66 million was earmarked to strengthen Jewish identity and connection to Israel among young Jewish kids who live outside of Israel. It has NOTHING to do with sending Islamic people to Europe as your post suggested.

What is the value in sharing this? It makes Israel look worse in my opinion. It screams “if we don’t get our way, we’ll destroy you too”.
Hence my statement about the under 40 demographic in America. Like it or not, support for Israel in America is circling the drain. People are tired of them. It’s not some anti-Semitic stance, it’s a geopolitical truth. They’ve used up their moral currency with us in the same way blacks have. Most of us flat out don’t fricking care about their plight.

It is a fabricated or heavily distorted quote that has circulated online for years on low-quality quote sites, usually without any primary source.
The Al Jazeera article itself does not contain this quote (or anything close to it). Someone added the fake quote and the photo of Ignatiev to the screenshot to make the piece look more extreme than it actually is.

I get the analogy Yair was trying to make about double standards with Ceuta/Melilla versus the West Bank, but the way it was framed (especially the original map post) comes across as more confrontational than persuasive.
When the response to criticism is essentially “fine, then we’ll highlight your disputed territories,” it can easily be read as petulant or threatening rather than a good-faith point about consistency. That kind of tone doesn’t help Israel’s image, particularly with younger audiences who are already more skeptical.
Support for Israel among Americans under 40 has been declining for years, and posts like this don’t reverse that trend they often reinforce the sense that Israel is dismissive of outside criticism. You don’t have to be anti-Israel or antisemitic to notice that the old reservoir of goodwill is running lower than it used to. Just my take.

You can find articles written by certain American Think Tanks who were even more specific - they called for Morocco to pull this trick earlier this year.
Israel considers all of Europe to be the successors to Rome, and we know Bibi's thoughts on the Romans. They've been actively pushing, at worst/most likely, or simply not caring, at best, the fact that all of their little adventures inevitably push endless migrants into Europe. There's nothing they'd love more than to see all of Europe fall.
