We will see. The biggest and hardest issue with him forming a government is convincing enough of his opposition to side with him to reach the 61 seats he needs. Another monkey wrench in this is that the Arab party now controls 19 seats. So either him or Eisenkot are gonna have to cozy up to the Arabs because they will most likely need some of their support. If Eisenkot convinces the Arabs to side with him then Netanyahu could still lose even though is party had a larger number of seats.

Are you sure he won? It looks like his party didn't get a majority.

Another issue is even though his party secured the most seats for one party(around 54), the opposition parties secured the majority of seats at 66. This will make it really hard for him to form a government if he can't convince some of those from the opposition parties to come over to his side. Like I said the way Israel does government is weird.
A Parliamentary system... like the UK and... almost every other European country on the planet, plus tons of others...

Odds of any Arab party siding with Netanyahu at the moment...

Yes it is a parliamentary system but it is quite different than other parliamentary systems in Europe. For example you have pure proportional representation in the electoral system where most countries in Europe have a mixed electoral representation.

He did not in any sense win... but the headline said "survives," whatever that means, not "wins." His party won the most votes of any party, but nowhere near a controlling majority. His "coalition" came up short... the opposition coalition + the Arab parties together have the controlling majority. It's now just a question of whether Netanyahu can convince those Palestinian and Arab Israelis to join his coalition, which includes right-wing Israelis and Settlers... does that seem possible?
The news I'm seeing is that he lost.
From Haaretz:
"Netanyahu Bloc at 53, Opposition at 67 as Over 85% of Votes Counted"

Yeah... Israel started with a very small population at its founding... just over a million, so that probably made sense at the time... it still might, with a population of 9 million, and I'm sure it also might've been done to stifle the electoral representation of the non-Jewish population included in the borders when it was formed.

Yea, that's the wild part about this. Probably for the first time ever Netanyahu and Eisenkot are going to have to cozy up to Arab lawmakers if one of them wants to form a government. Crazy that even though the Arab factions have won the lowest number of seats, in a way they currently have a very large amount of power in deciding who Israel's next PM will be.

Unless all the media is wrong in Israel I do not see that the dude one. I hope he does. We need more right wing governments in the world.

This board is weird with their hate boner for Bibi. The dude is basically the Israeli version of Trump. He doesn't take anything off of commies and others who would love nothing more than to destroy his country. No, he did not drag Trump into a war with Iran. Iran dragged themselves into a war by creating havoc over the years. Trump and Bibi said enough of this shite.

Your second sentence drives the first.

So everyone in Israel went to bed with Eisenkot's group in the lead and wake up to Bibi's having more seats.
Sounds oddly familiar doesnt it?

Absolutely!
The question is if our side does it, is it better than the other guys doing it?

Exactly. But they won't let facts get in the way of their Jewtard fee fees.

AP News still clinging to a Netanyahu loss with a government coalition of opposition and the Arab-led parties.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Anxious Israelis watched election results near completion Wednesday, as no clear winner emerged and weeks of negotiating could lie ahead for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and an array of opposition parties trying to unseat him.
Arab-led parties made a historic showing, but it’s not clear if the other opponents of Netanyahu’s far-right government would form a coalition with them for a majority of seats in parliament. Issues around the Palestinians and their descendants remain incredibly sensitive in Israel.
Netanyahu seeks to remain the country’s longest-serving prime minister. In defiant comments after the vote — which showed his Likud party losing ground since the 2022 election — he dismissed the idea of partnering with Arab parties as treasonous.

I wonder how many Palestinians voted.
