Haven’t been sick in over 20 years. Good chance I have Covid. At home test positive. Don’t feel terrible but definitely something is up. For those of you who’ve had it, what’s the best recommended course of action; something I can pick up to start taking? I already take zinc/vitamin d&c daily, plus daily greens. Biggest concern is that I have asthma.

This is such bullshite

Mucinex is what I took
Drink plenty of fluids

I’d be careful with asthma, don’t let it get too bad before you see a Dr.

I took cough medicines especially at night because it would wake me up with short hardy bouts of coughing.

Get yourself a pulse oximeter too.

The chocolate Ensures were a lifesaver for me when I had it. My worst symptom was how badly everything tasted. Wasn't that I couldn't taste it, it tasted flat out rancid. Those still tasted normal though.

With Omicron, I don't understand how this would help. Active ingredient is an expectorant meant to aid in coughing up phlegm from the lungs. My understanding is most folks with the Omicold have nasal congestion, not lung.

Assuming no high blood pressure, perhaps sudafed during the day, Benadryl at night. Unchecked nasal congestion can drip into throat or lung infections.

Anything DM (Mucinex DM, Robitussin DM, DelsyM) for cough. Tylenol for headache or fever. Naproxen or ibuprofen for achy joints / muscles.

I agree 100%. I'm not sure how the OTC meds above might affect asthma.

lots of fluid. double up on the zinc, c, d with k2, quercintin, and maybe ivermectin if you get worse today and tomorrow or hydroxychloroquine if you cant find a Dr that will prescribe.
Also, low carb diet. There are Drs that are treating only covid patients and are putting them on strict low carb because the high sugars aid in amping up the virus. This is why diabetics are hit so hard.

Im the inverse. I have zero coughing issues if im laying down or laying in bed.

But when im up and vertical i can feel a drip down my throat and makes me have bad coughing fits every now and then

Zinc and vitamins will help your body heal up.

Can't offer any advice with the Ivermectin and HCQ but I personally would take either if I had covid.

If you have Omicron, I don't think you have much to worry about, but Delta is scary, it has hit several friends and family to where they needed O2.
With Omicron surpassing Delta so quickly, Delta is getting more rare...so I suspect you have Omicron.
Might check you O2 levels with a pulse Oximeter a couple times a day to confirm there is no hypoxia happening which is prevalent with Delta.

I had problems breathing, still struggling to get back to normal. Had to go to the emergency room, they gave me steroids and an oxygen tank. As humbling as the oxygen tank is, i needed it when I had some scary bouts. I go for short walks with my oxygen tank so that I can get exercise. Again it’s pretty humbling, but do what you have to do. Vitamin D is supposed to be good, so buy some and get some sunlight.

Vitamin D3 - 4000 units a day
Zinc - 50 mg a day
Quercetin - 250 mg a day
Pepcid - 40 mg a day
Vitamin C - 500 mg a day

Do these at a minimum. HCQ, Ivermectin, and Fluvoxamine if you can get them prescribed and filled.

If you are not also taking quercetin, HCQ or eating a bushel of apples daily, extra zinc is only going through you.

I took 2 tylenol PM and got 8 hrs of sleep each of two night while sweating, Awakened feeling like a much younger man after second night.

HCQ just helps your body actual use the extra zinc, otherwise you piss and shiite it away

I had antivirals on hand before the Covid hit the family. Ivermectin, Famotidine, and HCQ with all the recommended vitamins on the I-MASK protocol. Once the members of my family that I though were the most vulnerable caught covid (that would include my wife (55) and my dad (79)) I hit them with the antivirals and got them monoclonal antibody treatment. My wife was cured in 2 days and my dad in 7. I did have the initial alpha variant in the summer of 2020 and it was mild for me. I did not catch delta despite being surrounded by it. My kids caught delta and it was mild for them. If a doctor tells you there is no early treatment especially for higher risk people, they are lying IMO.

The cold or Omicron that is going around right now, everyone has caught it and is either over it or getting over it.

If your taste is off or no taste at all don’t eat sandwiches
It’s like you chew & chew & can’t stop chewing

I did get a steroid shot when I had it & took Mucinex at home

Forgot about cough syrup, go ahead & get some as mine started later & lasted a few weeks
