Maybe this is what happens when you cut funding for mental health by 40%.

I think that has to be part of the base argument. It has to also be honest and acknowledge that these mags do give inherent advantage to the user - good guy or bad guy. The balance of protection for the good guy - from government or criminals - outweighs the negative of potentially higher fatalities in active shooter situations. You have to be honest about the balance IMO.

30 round. And they have select fire weapons.

I think that’s part of the prevention of tyranny argument. That argument has massive logical holes though.

Obviously the government is allowed to have and deploy weaponry that citizens cannot own.

The argument for high capacity mags closes the gap though.

. . . sale or own mags of a greater capacity than 5 or 10?
or bumpstocks, or no background checks for private sales?

left definition of high capacity mags ranges from 5 to 10 round

This is part of an argument against restriction, taken from the first sentence of the OP.

Who defines “high capacity”? Without knowing I’ll tell you I don’t trust them. Is that number carved in stone? Certainly not, with history as a guide.

Remember when the BAC limit for drunk driving was .10? Whether you agree or not, the number was changed arbitrarily by the government and enforced on the governed.

Once a piece of a right is surrendered, the goal posts can be moved very easily.

It’s unlawful to manufacture new full auto rifles for sale to private citizens it not unlawful for a private citizen to own a registered full auto rifle.

Dunblane school massacre - Gunman used 4 pistols, 17 dead.
Vehicles running over scores of people.
God forbid these psychos be forced to learn how easy it is to make a chemical bomb.

The high cap mag thing is just a bullshite feel-good measure.

Why do they want 30 rounders? What is different about the threats that the general public faces that SWAT members face? SWAT members aren't military personnel. They are facing the same gang members and criminals that could attack any US citizen at any time.

The poorly educated like you don't realize that the bar has been set with respect to that argument. The SCOTUS Miller decision already declared weapons suitable to militia purposes as being allowed under the 2nd Amendment. SCOTUS decision in Heller decided that weapons in common use for lawful purposes are also protected. Sorry dummy, the AR-15 and rifles like it aren't going to be banned at the Federal level and the same goes for magazine restrictions which are also patently worthless.

Where is the cute little cartoon showing all the deaths by tyrants against unarmed civilians?

Between Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, and the others its probably about 100 million. The first step to dominating your citizenry is to disarm them.

But dont worry your pretty little head. Ill use my multiple AR15's, AR10's and Ak47s in the defence of this country for your benefit. You can sit back and swallow sperm while the real patriots do the heavy lifting.

We have no tyrants because of the second amendment. Who would be stupid enough to try to take over the US?

Literally everyone defending the 2nd amendment knows it can be limited. Your argument is borderline idiotic, just because it can be limited does not mean it should.
