Where do we sign up for bazookas? Also, will flamethrowers be available?

If that is the case, what are the best, most honest, and least emotional, defenses of the right to continue to purchase, sale or own mags of a greater capacity than 5 or 10?
Millions of US citizens currently own such items, have done so for years, and haven't killed or even attempted to kill another human being. The amount of people who own such items AND have killed or attempted to kill another human being is extraordinarily small relative to those who haven't (I would imagine less than 1% of the gun owning population)
Many gun owners have guns for home protection and hope to NEVER have to use their gun to defend themselves from another person. Yet, if they have to do so, they want something that gives them the best chance of the gun being effective. Arguably more shots = a higher % chance of effectiveness.
Personally I fall into that category. I own a 9mm with a clip that holds 16 rounds. While I occasionally take it to a range for recreational purposes, the main reason I own the gun is to protect my family in the event someone breaks into my home and attempts to harm them. I hope to NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, have to use my gun against another human being. But if I'm forced to I want something that is going to give me the best chance of being effective in a high stress situation (and yes, I know a shotgun is better and it is my weapon of choice). 16 chances vs. 4-5 increases my odds.
If you've put me in a spot where I have to pull the trigger, then I'm shooting not to hurt or scare, but to kill. YOU, the assailant, had the choice not to put yourself or me in that situation.

Swapping a mag takes a second or two. If someone is firing off a round a second for 5 minutes, the difference between 10 and 30 re mags would be 10 reloads for 30 rd mags and 30 reloads for 10 rd mags. 20 total seconds vs 60 total seconds of reloading.
You just reduced total round output from about 280 to 240 and infringed the freedoms of every other law abiding citizen in the process. You’ll still have a bunch of dead kids and no way to know whether you actually saved a life at all. But you will have given an inch to the gun control idiots and they will proceed to take another mile.

Pretty sure you can make one fairly easy

flamethrowers are readily available. Google search "flamethrower for sale".

You probably could, but I'm not googling that. I probably already hit a watch list when I googled how to make gunpowder.....which is legal to make yourself. Looked like to much work though.

gunpowder isn't an explosive. Why would that put you on a list? If it does I'm on hundreds of them because I have bought pounds of gunpowder to load ammo.

What would the legal arguments be to defeat hypothetical legislation that limits mag capacity?
Probably billions of high capacity mags in existence now, how do you keep the people that would commit such crimes from getting those?
Posted on 2/15/18 at 10:41 am to Maytheporkbewithyou
yes we should. what a lame argument you put out

Well. Um.
If I'm ever on the scene when one of these assholes starts their shite......it would be nice to have more than 4 bullets in my gun.
I mean. I shoot fairly well. But, I like more margin for error than that.

The 2nd amendment was written within the context of the typical citizen being able to own and carry arms in defense of their life and liberty, specifically against the possibility of a tyrannical government that would seek to remove one or both from the citizenry. "High capacity magazines" allow an every day citizen a chance to fight back against tyranny if the need ever arises.
The 14th Amendment to the Constitution granted citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” which included former slaves recently freed.
Things change everyday b.

A bill passed in 1984 that caused the price of a full auto rifle to increase by about 10, maybe more in some cases.
ETA: their is no law that restricts me from owning a full auto

Any full (fully in your case) auto manufactured and registered before 1984 is perfectly legal for any citizen that passes a background check to own.
