It does seem like a low key attempt to put their thumb on the crypto scale without drawing any attention. I’m not sure how you otherwise rationalize pardoning crypto execs convicted of KYC violations and then turn around fine BOA $1.2 billion for not doing enough.

I've been hearing about all these SARs for years and how useful they are in tracking money laundering, fraud and illegal transfer of funds to foreign enemies but I've yet to see anyone get wrapped up with a SAR based charge.

And conveniently Somalia is not FATCA compliant which makes all US dollar accounts accessible to the US Govt, regardless if the person is a US citizen or not.
113 countries are compliant but Somalia isnt. Aint that convenient.....
And I dont give a shat if they had "the forms" no one boards a plane with suitcases of cash without someone high up in govt approving it, several people. This has the state of Minnesota all over it.
