Ha!!! The "average American" doesn't pay their fricking healthcare bills!!! That's why they can't get healthcare. Won't pay co-pays or deductibles, then can't get seen and bounce from office to office until they are shite out of options. This is the truth.

I pay an unbelievable amount. Way more than what it was prior to Obamacare.

Why is he identifying this issue in the first place? His party is the one that wrecked it in the first place.

I pay $2000 a year for a family of 3. Deductible is $20. My wife had a c section delivery. Our total cost for the entire year including prenatal and post natal care was $37. I like my plan

Our insurance increased to $1900 a month in addition to a $8400 deductible. It was a complete joke. We dropped it and paid cash going forward till we could restructure our business and actually purchase insurance that we could afford.

So $412.50 per person. That’s $4,950 per year per person. That’s pretty far from the $12,000 Bernie claimed.

Note: I’m not saying you don’t understand this, but there are those who may not and see the price tag of $1,650/mo and say Bernie is right.

I’m not for Bernie’s policies (Trump Train) but I’m completely on board with revamping our healthcare system. No the average American is definitely not paying that much, but medical costs are incredibly inflated and we are reaching a boiling point. Honestly, Republicans could probably win a lot of points by acknowledging this issue.

I paid $376/ mo to cover my family of 4 with a $5K ded (shared by the entire fam) / 100% HSA plan. Obama protected me from my poor decision making and made my plan illegal. The result was a $7000 per fam member out of pocket for $1600/ mo. I had already booked a Disney Cruise with the $2500 Obama promised he'd save me!

The govt created this shiteshow and if given the chance they'll make it much, much worse.

Our premium is almost $1000 per month with a ded of $5600 and a oop max of $10,000 including the ded. Family of four — ages 50, 50, 22, 18. Oldest is on his own. Not sure what “level” our plan is but it’s with BCBS. NO Vision or dental.

Sucks to be self employed for this reason.

After I quit my first real job, I got a $10,000 deductible policy and an additional no-deductible minor injury policy to cover ski/sports injuries, total for both was about $100/mo.

Fast forward, and we now pay $1000/mo in addition to what wife's employer pays (more than that), for a $1500 (each) deductible plan.

Something ain't right, and shitty doctors and obesity + various metabolic diseases are going to place increasing strain on the risk pools.

I assume he meant per family per year; if not, then I agree with you about it being exaggerated.
