No evidence the kid was a thug.

A failure of that culture. If watching 48 Hours has taught me anything, my first 4 words will be "I need a lawyer".

People should understand that part "anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law"

The court of public opinion will also use those words against you as well.

if I had a black friend who went missing and saw Ben Crump's retarded face on the local news, I'd hire an entire law firm.

He’s 100% not going to say these words no matter what the report says.

“The results were inconclusive, so we’re going to continue to investigate”. Which actually means, “Keep the money coming.”

Nolan died from drowning. There is no evidence of foul play.

Crump and his race hustling team will still play the race card and say his white buddies would never have left a white friend behind.

He will sue the three white families for $20 million dollars for wrongful death. He will allege that Nolan died because those racist punks left him on that island. He will also allege that Nolan was their responsibility and leaving him behind was negligence.

All the while, the mother will ask that you respect her privacy at every press conference and insist they aren't out for money.

Wow.

He definitely drowned, and his parents are allowing Crump to stir up racial shite, but this is pretty uncalled for.

By all accounts he was a good kid, and I believe his parents said he could swim.

Your response should be "let me check my understanding - I don't have to answer your questions, but if I do you will use my answers to imprison me, right"

Who answers questions under these circumstances?

The locals call the northwestern tip of Horn Island the "washing machine" because of the intense rip currents. There have been many drownings there over the years.

Being a strong swimmer means nothing in waters like this if you dont know the proper protocol for surviving a rip current. Sometimes, you die even when you know exactly what to do.
Look at the Layne Gravois case. He was a highly skilled swimmer who understood rip currents. He enters the water with others at Miramar Beach to rescue a drowning boy in 2021. The currents killed him and injured two other rescuers.

My theory is he waded off to take a piss or wash up after a beach shite. why else would you separate from friends in the water?

someone explain rip currents to me like a child. I never really understood why so many people get caught in them and drown.

Strong current that feels like it "came out of nowhere" because it's usually close enough to the beach to where a person wouldn't suspect it. People freak out and fight it and think they're going to be brought out to sea and die, and end up tiring themselves and drowning.
