Well since the sex trade and human trafficking are still around, the 13th Amendment must go.

I think the comparison is too extreme, but they do have similar talking points

Ironically, abortion in America started in the south in the 1800s so slave owners could have sex with attractive female slaves without consequence

Similar rhetorical track as well. Slavery went from a "necessary evil" to morally righteous in the eyes of its defenders. Abortion went from "necessary evil" to lighting up the World Trade Center in pink to celebrate infanticide.

Abolition did not violate anyone’s constitutional or human rights.

Yeah...you might want to read up on the constitutional impacts of abolition. The South’s whole argument was that slavery was protected by the Constitution.
Yet here we are. Slavery is abolished, and no one's constitutional rights were violated by it.

Now, get crazy.

We could be killing old people too if we could repeal SS.

I think there’s bigger issues then whether we kill a negative year old fetus
"Slave" would have fit in that statement 170 years ago. Way to go Mr.1850.

But it did.

It violated property rights which are enshrined in the Constitution.

This is what happens when you engage in the fiction that a human being is less than a person.

Once you go there, then a slave or fetus is merely property to be dealt with as it's owner sees fit.

I've seen a lot of bad takes on this site but this one might just take the retard cake.

Let's put aside the fiscal side of it for a moment and let's talk about the potential threats to the woman's health or if she was a rape victim or if incest was involved.

Not so black and white now is it. But I'm sure you'll come back with that's a small number like that magically solves the fact that these factors still exist.

Point being is the topic of abortion is not so cut and dried regardless of what one side says. There's a middle ground here that neither side wants to take due to moral reasons. So instead of actually talking it out all of this is met with either you're a baby murder or you hate women.

Weak takes from people with weak arguements

Call the cops.

Granting citizenship to Americans did not violate anyone's Constitutional rights, no matter how bad you want it to be that way so it can fit into your abortion virtue signal.

Walk with me through the logic:

Only a person has rights.

Slaves and fetuses are classed as non-persons.

Therefore slaves and fetuses have no rights.

These are past and current Democrat positions. Where were they wrong?

Walk yourself. The comparison doesn't work. It is the government's place to grant citizenship to people born here. It isn't the government's business that a woman is pregnant.

You are going down in flames on this one. Sad. The issue was not citizenship. It was property rights. They had no rights as a human being. Much like the fetus argument.

I guess not.

You don't get to have slaves, and you don't get to tell her what to do. You're the one who wants change that you'll never get.

Study history.Abortions will happen whether you like it or not. They will just be gruesome.

I don't have to agree or not or like it or not, they will happen.

Booze was outlawed and many died or were maimed making their own. That's just the way it works.

If abortions are made illegal,I suggest you invest in wire coat hangers, the demand will go out of sight.
