I've done this, except for my mom and aunt. They're full-tilt TDS but I just demand no politics be discussed when we're around each other. I had to make that rule because we tried to have civilized discourse but it always ended with me debunking their claims incontestably and then one or both of them completely losing their shite screaming at me.

The filthy rich do this because they can game the system. They can afford tax shelters and evasion techniques that are built into the tax code specifically for them and the political class.
