With my Build Back Better Agenda, we’re going to provide two years of high-quality pre-school and two years of free community college. Because 12 years of education is no longer enough to compete in the 21st century.

Know why 12 years of education doesn’t cut it anymore? Cause they pass fricking idiots along for “social promotion” who can’t hack it then wonder why they can never catch up.

More to the point, 12-years of our shite education system is no longer enough to compete.

You could… oh I dunno, make the education system worth spending ANY time in. Nah, thats crazy, just throw more money at the problem.

The idiots who can’t get a job with 12 years of education won’t get a job with 16 years of education.

Well maybe they can run for Congress.

if we thought the basics... reading, writing, and arithmetic instead of how to hate yourself and the country, we could do it in less that 12 years.....

I actually know more people than not that believe 12 years is FAR too long. There is a lot of sitting around doing nothing in schools nowadays (especially the younger ones). If you don't want an education then get out after 8 years, go tech for 1 year and work manual labor (I praise those that do).

DC only has room for so many village idiots. At least 435 ones from the state and local levels.

the school system is a "one size fits all" approach.

even the socialist leaning countries in Europe put kids on an university or occupation trajectory at an early age....not everyone is college material

we should split schools on 3 or more trajectories:

1) remedial... just get them the basics and a vocational career path

2) college/higher education

3) practical training for a career that is above vocational, but doesnt require college.

How many years of education did Joe have and still had to plagiarize to pass.

Good job Joe!

Most of the smartest people I know did not get a college degree or go at all. I know quite a few pretty successful people who didn't even make it out of HS

We need to change the way HS is being run.

Those who need algebra, trig, etc can still get those courses, but also learn, electrical, checking/money management, auto repair, etc.

Kids need to learn life skills. That Calculus class isn't getting them that tire fixed, breaker off/fixed/ etc. Kids are clueless these days to basic life skills.

Also, they should learn basic electrical, Plumbing, etc. shite they will need and use in life.

My only regret in life, is not using the free education Chrysler was offering, to learn plumbing, HVAC, and auto repair. It can save tou tens of thousands, just learning the basic of these skills.
