Yeah, I'm sure Russia can't wait to expand the war to Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Austria, etc... because they're having such an easy time with Ukraine.

No they aren't. They are having trouble with Ukraine (a far smaller and less populous country) backed by Western tech, they know bringing in multiple other countries against them would quickly and drastically change the movement of the war against them.

This may have been a test, to check NATO's resolve (there have been other instances, but those were mainly air incursions which were quickly turned away), it may have been UKR or some third party trying to create a kickoff event or it could have just been a tech frickup.

I’m sure it has nothing to do with Russia invading a European country.

At this point it is all they can do outside of going the extreme route. Russia can’t even ‘take over’ Ukraine and has paid much in blood and treasure to hold the real estate they have gained. It is amazing that Putin’s ‘war of attrition’ has lasted this long without him being taken out by Russia’s elites.

There is no scenario where they can successfully engage in a kinetic war with the EU where there is either victory or occupation. The EU’s warning of such and any provocations could very easily result in desperate actions by Russia though.

This seems to be nothing more than a proxy war at the behest of the West with blurred lines of what victory would look like or lead to for either side.

The problem with your assertion here is that the "failing countries" are not sending drones into Russian airspace or attacking ships in Russian waters. It is the Russians who are doing the provocative actions.

The brain rot is in Russia.

This will happen right after Canada repulses the forthcoming American invasion.

Russia doesn't have the ability or desire to expand the war into something involving NATO.

Just came across this headline on Fox:
Drone strike sinks ship in NATO waters as Zelenskyy warns of looming ‘massive strike’
Apparently Russia has attacked and sunk one ship and damaged another off the Bulgarian coast. Those NATO countries and perhaps others are under threat for a massive drone attack as Russia is looking to expand the war. Those countries in the region are concerned of a major increase in Russia's invasion posture and that the US and most of Europe will not be ready to do anything about it.
I had no idea this was going on.

Has it occurred to you that this could be a false flag operation?

Last week it emerged that some 20 Finnish MPs had reported mysterious break-ins at their homes, with one politician finding faeces left behind in his lavatory.

Ben Zyskowicz, a senior MP for the ruling centre-Right National Coalition Party, believes the behaviour is part of a Russian plot to intimidate Finnish legislators.
