You know exactly what is going on. The destruction of family, schools and any notion of structure or accountability are gone from society.
When this happens, you get this. It's just a coincidence that this is happening in just about every major city in America that has the same political belief structure.

A couple of days ago there was a shooting in a parking garage for an apartment complex adjacent to LSU. The BRPD’s sole comment was, don’t worry it wasn’t on LSU’s campus.
The Mayor is an idiot and the Police Force has gone completely woke. They aren’t interested in fighting crimes. They’re interested in fighting “racism.”

There’s a heat map somewhere with the shootings and murders on it.
General rules are to stay south of Government St, away from much of the area surrounding LSU (mainly streets named after states and so forth), and away from Gardere.
YMMV because a lot of areas which used to not have issues such as Sherwood below Florida, Siegen Lane, College Dr, etc, have gotten decidedly rougher the last few years.

Yeah LSU is in decline due to the climate of BR. Will soon be reflected in sports performance. Guess ULL or more likely La Tech will be ascendant.

Likely true, TG. The Athletes can only be insulated from the peer pressure/culture to a certain extent. There is enough pressure to perform without the added pressure from either rejecting or friending problematic locals. No top tier athlete wants to walk that tightrope.

Part of it, yes.
The bigger problem is ghetto culture and how our society promotes and enables it without ever publicly identifying it as the problem. Baton Rouge leaders should attack the problem.
