To clarify, what I said was the attack happened because they had support not that western media openly sanctioned and celebrated October 7. Intifadas are always correlated with media support. Both U.S. and British media immediately jumped to support “Palestine” the West Bank and Gaza and immediately painted Israel as committing “genocide”. This narrative and bias has only grown since.

No one in the Biden administration publicly supported October 7 but there were members who opposed Israel taking actions.

NOW were there politicians such as the Squad members who tried to downplay it? Yes. Mamdani's wife celebrated it and its a safe be he did too. The ones who favored it were smart enough to keep their mouths shut but gave it away when they would say "But what about..." or "we are against all...."

The media repeatedly downplayed incidents of Jew hatred in this country whereas when the same things happen to Blacks, they blare them all over the headlines.

It’s not an opinion, you just made a claim that’s completely detached from all recorded history and evidence which is something people with your opinion do constantly on this topic.

If Muslims hate Jews for being Jews, why do Iranians allow Jews to worship openly? I was curious about other Muslim countries. Saudi Arabia and the Maldives don't allow ANY non-Islamic religious practices...Christian or Jewish or Buddhist, etc.

You claim the historical high ground, but you have to admit that Christians have killed many more Jews than have Muslims...right? Do Christians hate have a religious hate for Jews more than Muslims do?

Prior to the problems associated with establishing the modern state of Israel, I just don't see the evidence of widespread hatred by Muslims of Jews. If you have the evidence, show it to me.

AFTER the establishment of Israel and the displacement of Palestinian Muslims and Christians, can't you see that there would be resentment?

As a practical matter, that caused hatred for some Jews, but it was because it was that their land was given to foreign Jews. If foreign Buddhists had been given the Palestinian land, there would have been resentment toward Buddhists.

That's not even getting into the Nakba fighting in 1947-9 which greatly expanded the borders of the Jewish state and created hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees....

It’s not high ground it’s fact and taking one outlier and using that as a broad brush to support your claim is an argumentative fallacy. You know these things which is why I’m trying to tell you to open your eyes and quit being so myopic on this one issue. I’ll bet you don’t view anything else this way.

As a non-religious conservative I’m pretty dumbfounded at the insanity of 34 down votes for this thread . October 7 was nothing less than 12th century savages attacking civilization. I don’t give two flips about “Israel“, if this sort of inhumanity goes unchecked, we only get more of it.

In all sincerity, who can give a coherent response as to why this isn’t universally upvoted?

What fricking country am I even in anymore?

We'll have to just disagree. I don't think you have been duped. Neither have I. We have a serious factual disagreement.

There's simply no dispute that Gaza has been substantially degraded and that tens of thousands of civilians have been killed by the Israelis since October 7. Even the most conservative estimates have the number of children killed at over 20,000.

You probably think that's Hamas's fault. "They started it." I and most of the world think that's a disproportionate response and is designed to make Gaza uninhabitable. Those kinds of numbers aren't media hype.

The importance of those numbers should be open for honest debate. Whatever the case, our government has decided it's good with it without a debate.

Weiss did not say 10/7 was as important to Americans as 9/11.

If you bothered to read some of her speech, you will see what she is saying is that October 7 unleashed a wave of anti Semitism and Jew hatred in this country. We didn't see this kind of hatred towards Jews even when Leo Frank was leashed.

A hatred driven by Moslems in this country and their allies in universities and the media.

What are you talking about? I read the thing and responded directly in a different post.

"Care about October 7 because it tells us about anti-semitism" is exactly the type of crap that people in the US are souring on. We watched the anti-semitic response from the left and it was a massive story for weeks. The drumbeat over it assumes that some deep concern about anti-semitism is a foundational thing I should prioritize months and months after the main events. It's the same with Ted Cruz spending half his waking life talking about it.

Americans aren't rolling their eyes because they have deep hatred for Jews. They're rolling their eyes because they want to know why the hell they should care about this stuff as a front of mind thing if they can't find a house they can afford, we have 50 million people in this country who don't even pretend to like it, they see degeneracy on the march in every aspect of the culture, the birth rates are dropping, the M-F relationship dynamics are getting worse by the day, etc.

Because Americans are tired of being lectured about why Jewish interests, primarily Israel and anti-semitism should be a major priority in their lives. I think it's very similar to the way Americans reacted to Zelensky's approach of "if you don't do X, this is going to be your problem and your sons will be at risk." Do I understand why he makes the pitch? Sure. Do I think it's fine to resent him for it? Sure.

I say this as someone who is very sober about the reasons Jewish people have motivations to make it our business, find it rational for them to try, and who isn't anti-Israel in any meaningful sense.

Everyone who has studied it believes that. Admittedly, the German efficiency of killing 6 million Jews gives Christians a big boost in terms of verifiable numbers.

Unlike with the present issue of debating whether Muslim hatred of Jews is because of territorial disputes, the Germans killed Jews for being Jews...as did the Russians in the 19th Century...and the French in the 14th Century.....

You say you’re not propagandized but your posts are filled with talking points. Just trying to help you think bub. Two major events are happening simultaneously but we’re not allowed to connect them and they both have one sided political coverage from the left. That doesn’t ring any alarm bells to you?

Some cool propaganda, just like all the other terrible things that’s happened. You would think with how “advanced” their technology is they would’ve intercepted everything, not to mention all the IDF soldiers that sit on the boarder.

I appreciate the effort. I just can't see where you have illuminated any talking points in my posts.

I don't know if I have directly bored you with this personal fact, but I have been interested in this subject for all of my adult life. My father's mother was an actual Zionist. When my grandfather died, my grandmother felt it was a Jew's duty to live in the Holy Land. She moved, with my father and aunt, from America to the British Palestinian Mandate.

I have read extensively on the subject from various perspectives. I'm not swayed by current propaganda...from any side.

Please identify at least one thing I have said that wasn't factually true...that it was a "talking point."

Again, as I have stated I have no real pro Israel views. I’m not one of those who thinks Israel needs to be saved before the end times blah blah blah. This is just common decency among humans. People need to put their damn hatred to duh joooos aside and just see what’s happening. Good grief.

Muslim flooding to the west, they’ve captured multiple states in the U.S. and they rule England. Democrat supported.

Military action against the #1 state sponsor of terrorism (Muslim aggression really) and cause of the destruction which facilitates the aforementioned spread. The military action against Iran and its proxies is opposed by democrats, the Muslim migration is supported totally by democrats
