The majority of “conservatives” on this board are just social nannies who are perfectly fine with government intervention as long as it is on their behalf. Then they get mad when those some levers of power are utilized by the other side.

Yup.

100 percent correct.

They need a new name... there is nothing "conservative" about them.

I’ll ask you what I asked that convert goof in the other thread about Abbott:

Do you suspect there are a whole lot of “private businesses” with a strong philosophical belief in wanting to impose private health decisions upon their customers? If so, that seems rather weird, doesn’t it?

Or is it, perhaps, more likely that they are making these decisions fueled by a sort of liability CYA purpose, such that you would think they would be quite relieved by the government protection of telling them there’s no need to bother with such silliness?

I have a huge problem with the government granting immunity like this. Again... it's not the job of government to do that.

I don't think there is a lot of businesses that would demand to know if one is vaccinated. But, hey, both sides love to virtue signal, don't they?

You didn’t answer my questions. You just repeated the same opinion you gave for the past 10 pages.

Since my last post I’ve picked my kids up from camp, worked out, played basketball with the kids, cooked dinner, bathed the kids, took a shower and am about to go read to the kids.

You, on the other hand, have spent 8hours trying to convince the internet you’re not retarded.

For over a year, we've been yelling that businesses should be allowed to make their own decisions. Now... we think they have to be told what to do??

Did you just not notice that leftists are using big corporations to advance their ends, or do you just not care? It's kind of hard for a business to fail when you need to frequent it to eat.

Considering how many business owners are "conservatives" I'd imagine many would refuse to require it.

You will have options.

“Build your own twitter”

Remember what happened when conservatives tried to create their own option? The libs pressured all the website hosting platforms into shutting it down.

Except that they have banned not allowing other things. You'd get your arse sued and would lose if you required a HIV vaccine for a rec basketball league.

I'm all for personal freedom, but crony capitalism corporations lose that privilege when they act as psuedo government entities.

This is a fantasy land you’re living in.

Can cruise lines deny service to customers who have sexually transmitted diseases?

What I want, and what I want the government to enforce are two very different things.

But if you've got an idea on how I can make what you're proposing happen, lemme know.

What you want and reality are two different things as well.

There are probably some conservatives who are hypocritical on this issue (I sure as hell knew a couple when cigarette smoking in restaurants was on the ballot in Florida), but the stance isn't hypocritical by definition. If you believe that you just haven't given it much thought for whatever reason.
