Bacon to hold up reconciliation unless Army sends a brigade to Poland

Bacon said in an interview this week that he won’t support a final reconciliation bill until the Trump administration starts undoing its cancellation of the deployment. With the razor-thin GOP margin of control in the House, Bacon’s stance is a problem for Republican leaders.
“If they want our support for the reconciliation bill, they better move out and get those 5,000 troops back to Poland,” said Bacon, who’s retiring at the end of this Congress. “Why do I want to fund policies that I disagree with?”
