I’m generally very forgiving if someone makes a mis-statement. We have all probably said awkward things at some point.
But this wasn’t an accident. It went on for minutes. And most importantly.. Biden’s actions and policies reflect the hatred, contempt, intolerance, mistreatment and authoritarianism of the words in that speech.
There is no walking it back. His speech only confirm his actions.

I'll believe it when he has another nationally televised speech and apologizes and says he made a mistake and take back everything he said including the threats.
Until then a tweet isn't going to cut it. Nobody who watched that speech is seeing a tweet.

I'm guessing when he's given a speech to read he probably actually processes in his head in real time no more than 25% of it. So, it may not even be that he's really "forgetting" it.

This was a test run to test reactions. It was done at an odd time in an odd place (Satanic Temple?) and during a weekend where most people are traveling.
Rest assured the highwater mark for blaming MAGA Republicans was last week and last night.
Not much harm. I was one of the few of my place of employment who watched. They’ll tone it back a bit and now try to run on their bullshite build back better “accomplishments”. But most just didn’t tune in.
Don’t insult 75 million people at once. Lesson learned. frick them.
