and you love liberty as long as it doesn't involve minorities getting to act like they are real people.

SO jesus was a sinner for assisting Mary Magdelan?
Feeding a gay dinner,or doing his taxes doesn't seem to be the same as you know fricking a guy.

Jesus didn't help Mary to sin, or to continue to live in sin.

I don't think most people who offer a business service do either of those either.

This is why we cant have nice things
It was a falsehood that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. And if he had pimped out the real prostitute in the Bible, then yes, he would have sinned.
quote:
In 591, Pope Gregory the Great stated that all three were in fact one woman, Mary Magdalene, and this is how she became labeled as a prostitute, or the unnamed sinner. However the Second Vatican Council removed the prostitute label in 1969 after much debate and Biblical evidence that there was more than one Mary and that Mary of Magdalene and the unnamed sinner were two different figures.

What about treating everyone with respect like the bible says.

Could you link the "Thou shall treat all with respect" commandment.
Perhaps Jesus made a mistake in dissing the temple money changers?

Absolutely!
It's just that the state should not be mandating this biblical advice. It's not the government's place.
Separation of church and state and all.

“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven" - Jesus Christ
Luke 6:37
Not judging others was one of Christ's main tenets. I find it amusing that so many Christians seem to forget that

This verse is taken out of context so much. This passage simply means to not hold others to a stricter moral code than God. For if you do then God will hold you to your own, and you will be found wanting. Which some Christians are prone to do.
That being said. Paul makes it clear Christians are supposed to judge those who already call themselves Christian. Not those outside of the church. Though we are to inform them of what sin is.

That's not how we play the game.
We only use the bible as a source when it allows us to judge and discriminate.

Speaking of using religion.
President Obama thanked the group that used to be his reelection campaign, Organizing for Acce$$ event tonight in Washington.
"The work you are doing is God's work," Obama told supporters.

Considering property rights are man made, and these people choose to participate in commerce, and open their stores to the public at large, they don't get to act like they are being forced to let people into their homes. It is a weak argument, and one that needlessly allows completely immoral practice.
But hey stick with it.

Naw bidnesses don't deserve to operate as they see fit. The god of government needs to control everything.

I don't even know what to say to that.

And?
Do those businesses belong to you? Do they belong to the gov't?
quote:

Do you know what place on Earth does not respect property rights?
War torn Africa, the theocratic Mideast, parts of communist China. They violate property rights all the time under the guise of legislating morality, much like what you support. Do you really want to join them?
Property rights are tantamount to a free, productive and capitalistic society which is the complete opposite of the above.

How does that practice hurt people, steal or conduct slander or fraud?
Dude, to deny people property rights means to turn people into property owned by the state.
