As a loan officer, if you had these prejudices then it'd be pretty easy to manipulate it to deny the loan anyways.

Loans are entirely up to the bank to decide if it's worth the risk.

Breaking news to me..az has no law protecting gays from work place discrimination and a ban on gay marriage. So why then do they need this law?

And if they were a good risk, they'd simply report you to the bank while they sought another lender. You'd be fired by the bank on the spot, as you should be. The gay couple will make their own way, either with your bank, or another.

But under this its my religous beliefs that lead me to deny the loan and if the bank fired me they would be infringing on my religous beliefs

I've had banks discriminate against me. It happens all the time, everyday.

Let's flip this around a bit.

A devout sharia muslim comes into a bank for a loan. Sharia forbids charging interest.

Does the bank have to make him a no interest loan in order to accommodate his religious beliefs?

Its the banks rule to charge interest. And i think the law is refusing to do buisiness due to religous belief..and i will say i am wrong in the thought i had earlier because i dont own the bank i just work for it.

Pretty toothless

They would have to prove that serving gays, or whoever they refuse to serve is somehow preventing the practice of their religion.

I don't know how serving gays could interfere with being a christian or anything really.

It is specific to events for Christians such as weddings. I shouldn't bother addressing you because you have proven to be a hater of freedom and liberty.

you aren't the bank, the bank loans the money, you're just their representative, what you believe is irrelevant.

You work for them. They can fire you if you refuse to conduct business as they wish.

Yea i just said that, but does that give the bank the right to discriminate ? They would be in violation of federal law if they did.

Then you dont understand the concept of law, called being an accessory

Robbery is a crime, assisting with that is also a crime

Church law defines the ghey as a sin, assisting with a ghey union is also a sin

Same concept
