Nice to see you in support of suppressing religious beliefs. I guess we can start with the muslims and work our way through all of them right?

That pesky freedom of religion must really bother you snowflake

Love 'Enlightenment Values!' Hats off to Austria for having the balls to do what bigger countries don't!

Be careful what you wish for. The same first amendment that protects Muslims also protects Christians. Whittle those freedoms down at your own peril.

Nice! Not quite as good as Poland but it's a good step.

It's their fricking country.

It has its own unique history that is important to them.

Their culture is in place.

If you are running from your own country, and want to integrate seamlessly into theirs, then you abide by their god damned rules.

Kudos to Austria. A model for the rest of the world.

Its all fine and good until Muslims are the majority religion in the US, then when they start telling you to hide your crosses and dress like them we cant be suprised.

They would do this regardless of how we treated them prior

seems to be some confusion here. The article is about Austria(the country in Europe) NOT AustraLia (the land/continent down under).

I've got no problem with this move as long as it doesn't violate their laws to implement it. Islam should be re-labeled a cult of violence and a front for terrorism.

Yessssss And should have been the policy for the entire European Union. Allowing unfettered immigration of Muslims into Europe has been a recipe for disaster no matter how Merkel spins it.

I'm not the one praising the suppression of religious expression...you are.

You show your fear every time you post crap like this.

Banning such religious attire is incompatible with our first amendment.

Oh, and now you're a fake psychologist or something? Spare us!

It's called information and it's called news! Don't read if you're not interested. And funny how you manage to avoid the other information offered in the article, the part about the integration course. Guess you can't attack that under 'constitutional' excuses, can ya?
Ciao!

Islam is not a religion in my opinion. More like a cult

This is not religious persecution. The jihadist are the ones attacking anyone who is not with them. Good for Austria to try and gain some control over their country.

Call it whatever you want, it would clearly violate our BOR and would be shot down 9-0 by the USSC.

This is like banning Jews from wearing kippahs

Sure it is.

I'm watching former conservatives jump ship en masse. In a few months, there will be no liberals or conservatives left. Just authoritarian right and left.
