Note: I was against the Louisiana ID law (contrary to others ITT's claims)
*ETA: the repeated misinformation in this story is the "social credit score" portion. There is no reference to anything like that Chinese concept in this story.

The story may be from 2 years ago but the Digital ID and Social Credit Scores continue to be real possibilities. That shite will undoubtedly happen in Europe and Australia before here in America.
You can be certain, the commie progressive left here in America support that along with a CBDC. The three together (CBDC, Digital ID, and Social Credit Scores) would place the federal government in firm control of its citizens. How abusive the federal government would become having these three chains on us would depend on the will of those in charge.
America freedom and liberty would no longer exist.

If you've committed a civil tort or criminal offense, the state can do it's job and investigate once that behavior has created an offense. It doesn't matter which perceived social pathology is involved.
