Weak/feminine Pastors and Priests leading their flocks astray. Any Christians or Catholics share this experience?

The church today no longer represents real men. It’s been feminized. If you’re a Christian like me…I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on this subject. I know many good Christian men who have left in recent years. @RationalMale

A dude who isn’t part of a church isn’t to be taken seriously when criticizing the church.

I can't relate. My church is very conservative with strong male leadership. I have heard about this in other churches though.

The church picks the pastor. If your Pastor is leading you astray, the church body went sour years ago.

I hadn't heard anyone ever mention that the church has become a huge spot for 'broken divorced men'.

This is the left's plan. The want to destroy both the church & the country from within. And they are doing it to perfection.

I'm not sure I see that at my church. But have heard similar experiences about weak sweater vest pastors with soft tones who don't touch on hard topics.

I haven't experienced this in our church. Of course, I'm in the Deep South, so that's probably why.

Jesus was a weak frail man who told others to turn the other cheek like a sissy.

I’ve got a great pastor who preaches
God’s word, isn’t woke, and likes to hunt, fish and enjoy LSU sports!

Fair enough, let’s see what the word of God says about the condition of the church in the last days:

2 Timothy 3:1-5 - "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"

2 Timothy 4:3-4 - "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."

Matthew 24:11-13 - "Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved."

1 Timothy 4:1-2 - "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron."

Revelation 3:14-22 - "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, "I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing"—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."'

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 - "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."

2 Peter 3:3-4 - "knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.'"

I left my church during COVID because they bent the knee to government and not to God. My friend got hired at another local church as the head pastor and he never stopped services, never required masks, and preached against these measures. I love the new church.

Weak, effete pastors/priest happen. Not where I go to Mass but I choose to go to Mass with manly priests and feminine nuns.

Crazy concept I know.

None of those are specifically referencing the church of today over any other time frame.

I do appreciate Scripture used instead of some “I worship God in a park” quotes.

A church isn't just brick and mortar. You can be a believer and follower of Christ without following the message from a particular pastor or entity.

Take the Bible, sit at your table, read and think for yourself.

Sure. But you need to be gathered with a body of believers in some fashion. That is if you’re taking the Bible and reading it. It tells you that.
