Some were smiling because they were probably arrested before and released with no charges. From what I understand is the state will be going after them with domestic terrorist charges among others.

I have watched and rewatched this video a couple of times.
I can't imagine being so emasculated as a cop for them to retreat in that situation. So much good could have been done with basic textbook protocol.

By the way, I also oppose the razing of this forest for a police training facility. It's the largest and oldest standing forest in ATL city limits. That's the hippie outdoorsman in me. I actually support these a-hole's cause. But the property owner (city) decided they were going to raze it for development, and when you camp out there in protest, and throw explosives at cops, you get what you get.

Kamryn was just attending a music festival and they started arresting random people. It not out of norm for Kamryn to attend a music festival about saving the forest or anything that involves saving the earth. He served in the military.
