Dude it’s already been posted that neighboring jurisdictions I.e. Fulton, DeKalb told them they were only coming to officer needs assistance calls. So if ATL was reaching out to them and was told no, why can you not fathom that they would reach out farther???

You’re flipping acting like there are officers being contacted from Nevada or something.

I'm questioning if this zone 6 feed is working correctly. Just had a guy say out of the blue that he needs gas. No identifier nor anything before or after. Just "I need gas" out of nowhere.

Have they brought down the Michael Vick statue at the SPCA and the Matt Ryan statue at the Turkish bathhouse yet? I can't stay up any later than 28 to 3 to find out.

East Atlanta (hipster haven)... Little Five Points (bohemian wannabe hippies)

Man I cannot lie. Had a great time in these areas when I was there for work for a few months back in 2016. The Vortex and Elmyr, among other places, in Little Five Points and some great live music at The EARL in EAV. I can’t stand their politics but I actually kinda enjoy the vibe of areas like that.

The Vortex is great. I’ve eaten many a burger there. There are many great restaurants and bars in those areas.

Like you, I enjoy the area, can’t stand the politics.

This is on their menus and their website:

NO IDIOTS
Our goal is to foster an atmosphere of fun and mutual respect. We declared The Vortex an Idiot-Free Zone back in 1992, and have remained committed to this policy ever since. Simply stated, it means “you be nice, and we’ll be nice.” Anyone who acts like an entitled jerk will be asked to leave. People who behave badly always seem surprised when we toss their silly asses out the door. Probably because they’re idiots.

NO INCOMPLETE PARTIES
Be advised that we do not seat incomplete parties during any peak business period. We know all your little tricks and lies too, you tricky, lying little bastards, so don’t even try them. Just enjoy a tasty drink from the bar while you wait on your slack-assed friends. When we are not in the middle of a peak period (or about to enter a peak period), this policy should not be an issue, but we will always decide what constitutes a peak period – at our sole discretion.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS
In case you hadn’t noticed, we sell food and drinks at The Vortex. It’s is not a picnic ground. If you are foolish enough to sit your butt down and whip out a sack lunch, or bring in an outside beverage, it will be confiscated and dumped in the trash. Give us any lip and you’ll end up there too.

NO FREE SAMPLES
Food that has been prepared correctly may NOT be returned because you “just don’t like it.” Same goes for mixed drinks. Read the descriptions. Talk to your server. Act like a grown-up. If you order a beer, wine or spirit that you’re not crazy about, that’s a damn shame too. We don’t brew, ferment, distill or bottle any of it. We just sell it. So, when your food or booze order is delivered to you “error-free,” the transaction is officially complete. All sales are final. No returns or refunds. If you have a particularly delicate palate, or are just a chronic complainer, be prepared to share what you’ve ordered with the less finicky members of your party. You know – the adults.

NO WHINING
We’re sorry if you don’t like what we do, or how we do it. Maybe you think our bar is too crowded, or you think the music is too loud, or the foul-mouthed strippers sitting beside you are just too offensive. Hey, on occasion The Vortex might get a little rowdy. If you insist on having total control over your environment at all times, then maybe you should just stay home. Nobody likes a whiner. Especially in a bar.

Hell yes! The burgers are amazing, and the margaritas at Elmyr may be the best I’ve had. Forgot about the pizza too at Little Five Points pizza. Fantastic.

Of course likely 95% or more of the people who spend their time there vote in the bullshite that’s lead to this crap. Made their beds.

These must be all the "good cops" we keep hearing about.

If you cannot stand to be held accountable for doing your job, we don't want you working for us.

You made a flawed statement about people that live in the city all supporting the DA. The poster made a similar statement about you by applying your own process.

I stand by my statement that the population of the city of Atlanta would support the actions of the DA.

Just look at the demographics:
Population of 500,000
Poverty level of 25% as opposed to 14% average of Metro Atlanta cities
Home ownership of 40% as opposed to 60% average of Metro Atlanta cities
60% of the population are minorities.
Home ownership is 40% as opposed to 60% average in Metro Atlanta cities.
The population of the city of Atlanta is very liberal and does nothing but elect liberal representatives.

None of that criteria on the surface would justify your assertion.

In any case, Howard's jurisdiction also covers the whole of Fulton County, not just the city of Atlanta.

In this instance, y'all need to be holding anyone railroading this police officer accountable. Looks like the police are doing it for you.

Voters need to kick out the DA in the August runoff.

None of that criteria would justify your assertion.

So your assertion is that the majority of the residents of the city of Atlanta would like the DA to have not charged these police officers?

You think these citizens feel the DA over charged these police officers?

You think the majority of the citizens of the city of Atlanta think the DA went too far in charging the 2nd officer with aggravated assault?

I just want a clear understanding of what you think the residents of city of Atlanta feel about the actions of the DA if you say they wouldn't support these charges.

And I didn't mention Fulton county, I was speaking about the city of Atlanta where the incident happened.
