Alleged to be selling guns without a license, some involved in other crimes. Could have grabbed him at his car at work and avoided the gun fight.

You dare question the PATRIOTS in the ATF?

This was GOOD Shoot! I read so on the OT!

What type of commie-loving Russian BOT are you?

They could have just arrested him at work or in the evening when he was arriving at his house.

These early morning raids are Gestapo tactics.

This wasn't an arrest warrant.

They were serving a search warrant on the house.

LINK to search warrant

Nothing that salacious. He was just acting like a firearm dealer without a FFL. The proverbial "gunshow loophole" scenario.

Noted liberty champion SFP speaking up for the oft-maligned ATF. Thank you for your service.

A 6 AM search warrant operations brings the same implicit risks as a 6 AM arrest warrant. Or perhaps you can tell me a lot of words about how it is different.

The comments I was replying to were based on location, not time.

Do I really need to explain the difference in location and time to you?

My initial-gut reaction was a suicide by cop scenario, and nothing factual seems to dispute that assumption, so yeah I doubt he cared where he was physically located if he could get a gun.

He should have just eaten a bullet himself if he wanted to commit suicide.

Federal officials said that Malinowski shot first from inside the home, at which point agents returned fire, hitting Malinowski multiple times.

This seems like an important point, if true, that many are missing.

Which is exactly what one would do when someone is kicking in your door in the wee hours of the morning. It is exactly what would happen at my house, not knowing who is on the other side of the door.

Has it been confirmed that this was a kick the door in no knock raid?

Or, did he see them coming up the driveway and started firing?

If you know someone is an illegal arms dealer, it seems like a really, really, really bad idea to kick the door in without annoucement.

It was 6 AM. Calm down.

Has this even been confirmed as a no knock? Y'all tried to lie about the dude in Utah. Wouldn't surprise me to see the same lies here.

It was a search warrant, not an arrest warrant, so unlikely. Possible, but unlikely.
