When Trump was elected the first Mexican official he met with was not the president, it was Carlos Slim.

What are the two things all cartels and illegals need. To send money home and to stay in contact. Carlos owns Bank of Mexico, TelMex and most of the phone companies in central america. He also owns 100s of other companies in Mexico, no one does business there without Carlos.

And who is the biggest beneficiary of the open border Carlos. Trump knew it, and so did Carlos. You know how the NY Times just torched Trump, guess who the biggest shareholder was....Carlos.

When Trump was elected Carlos legit companies lost a couple of billion in value, no telling what his illegitimate businesses lost.

Follow the money and you can stop this nonsense once and for all.

The entire southwest quarter of the Continental US is Mexican territory-- and was recognized as such before the cession of 1848, following the conclusion of the Mexican-American War.

The whole concept of "invasion" is nebulous

It’s always pissed me off that we give hundreds of billions of dollars to countries in Europe and the Middle East, when we could give a fraction of that to Mexico and create another global economy as a neighbor and solve any immigration issues.

You mean mount a counter-offensive against the Marxist backed cartels?

Yes, we should. It would be prudent.

An analogy:

Bob says to neighbor: 'I'm so fed up with people robbing my house every day. Should I get a gun?'
Neighbor: 'Have you tried closing your doors and taking down the 'Criminals Welcomed Here' sign?'

Mexico literally has millions of foot soldiers already here who have no ties nor loyalty to this country. I have to think this fact would probably prevent any military action against the cartels.

Mexico?

Or Canada?

Either way, those two countries are not our Allie’s.

Mexico doesn’t give two fricks about the US.

And Fidel’s boy has his allegiance to China. Commies are gonna commie.

There may be a future union between the US and Mexico.

This is a good post, Kennedy tried to do something like this but he was killed before anything could be achieved in that front.

Ok, invade Mexico and take control. Then what? What makes you think that there's a military solution there? You have around 130 million people there that have a history of not being able to provide a sustainable life for themselves.

The only answer to a human problem on that scale are unimaginably inhumane. They need to wake up and decide to take care of themselves. They need to hunt down everyone in the cartel mercilessly and rebuild their country from the ground up.

This is incorrect, up until the late 70's Mexico was self-sufficient in energy and food production, They were sabotaged by our imperial authorities and brought down to shithole category during the last 4 decades.

Im surprised more countries don’t adopt the US constitution and try to emulate our economic success, especially Mexico. You’re right next to the most powerful country in the world. You don’t want a piece of that for yourself?

We basically have to do what we did to the Philippines and since it's so close to home the 10 yrs required to do that wouldn't be able to go that long since it would create a massive humanitarian crisis.
