I think that Trump "winged it" way too much when he gave press conferences.

And yes his prepared statements were almost always on a teleprompter and he sometimes mangled it - but usually recognized it.

Most of his public utterances were completely off the cuff - mostly in response to a hostile press who were deliberately asking 'gotcha' questions with no regard for the 'truth' of the issue they seem to be 'asking about.'

IF you think he enjoyed ONE MOMENT of honest journalism in has 4 year tenure, or before/after then you are as stupid as your reputation describes.

And I say this as someone who detests Trump's persona - was one of his biggest detractors during the 16 primary cycle - to the point that I gave a few days of considering whether or not I'd even to bother to vote and then decided to cast a ballot "for" whomever had the best chance of defeating HRC.

But I never thought Trump was lying - nor being dishonest - or even deflecting. I just didn't think he could win because of his persona = which I still detest.

He proved himself to me to be an honest-to-the-bone political leader. He withstood historically unique and dishonest attacks from every segment of government, from the entire mass media enclave, from the entire hi-tech cabal, the entertainment industry, the hi-finance sectors, and from our foreign enemies, that only a 'saint' could have survived.

I still don't know how he did it faced with the monumental corruption and conspiratorial attacks on ever aspect of his being. And he accomplished more FOR this country in his brief and harrowed tenure than any POTUS in my lifetime. No other politician has faced 10% of the fallacious attacks he survived and yet small minded people like you still try to belittle him.

Shame on you - you pernicious turd.

I love when he closes his eyes in the middle of giving a statement, so he can listen closer to what the people really running the country are saying into his earpiece.

He was a good actor - yes he was eloquent just like Tom Hanks - whether he had any actual sense is another thing.

He did not perform that well when off prompter either - and I never judge a politician when they are reading from a teleprompter - regardless of who it is. If they cannot exhplain what them mean to a neutral (or even hostile) press then I am not impressed at all.

I watched him stumble in ad-hoc situation often, and even after years in office, his handler's had to 'walk-back' his commentary when 'expanding on his message' - and of course the media always had a line-up of "what he really meant by that" when his teleprompter script was too vague to cause any direct attack.

Color me as not impressed with the Obama "intellect" at all - his only skill with 'community organization' which to me means = "hiding his true intent with platitudes and false messages." I have no doubt that he did well in academic courses in his elite collegiate experience - but I always wondered if he could "park a bicycle straight.'

Trump would fail acedemic tests on history or philosophical ideals, but I would trust him to handle an actual national crisis before I would any of the latter day 'havade-grads' we have been hampered with.

They obviously used a mail-in vax count.
